We’re looking at how the European Darts Championships unfolded with a shock winner picking up the best win of his career so far.

00:07The St Leonard's player was a 250-1 outsider prior to the four-day event in Dortmund, and
00:13had never previously gone beyond the last 32 in a televised tournament.
00:18But he played superbly to win five matches, two of them against former world champions
00:23to claim the trophy and £120,000 winner's prize.
00:27Edhouse has also risen ten places to a career-high 29th on the PDC Order of Merit.

00:39I just want to get a couple of wins under my belt and see what happened, so this is

00:46Edhouse's success in Germany has also earned him a spot in November's Grand Slam of Darts
00:50in Wolverhampton, another major TV tournament, and he looks set to be among the seeded players
00:56for the World Darts Championships in December.
