Former President Donald Trump is describing his New York rally on Sunday as an "absolute lovefest."During a Sunday event at Madison Square Garden, Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.” His remark has drawn wide condemnation and highlighted the rising power of a key Latino group in the swing state of Pennsylvania. He also made demeaning jokes about Black people, other Latinos, Palestinians and Jews during his routine before Trump’s appearance.Trump has yet to address the controversy, also not mentioning it during his appearances in Georgia on Monday. On Tuesday, he did reference the event overall, calling it “an absolute lovefest” in his home town of New York City.

00:05Such great spirit.
00:16I want to start by saying it's going very well.
00:18There are some bad spots in Pennsylvania where
00:22some serious things have been caught, or in the
00:26process of being caught.
00:27But the election itself is going very well.
00:31We're leading, I believe, in all seven swing states.
00:33So we're the party of common sense and we're the
00:40party of fairness, and we have a coalition.
00:42Nobody has ever seen anything like — I don't
00:45think anybody has ever seen anything like what
00:47happened the other night at Madison Square Garden.
00:51The love — the love — the love in that room, it
00:58was breathtaking.
00:59And you could have filled it many, many times with
01:01the people that were unable to get in.
01:03But politicians that have been doing this for a
01:06long time — 30 and 40 years — said there's
01:08never been an event so beautiful.
01:10It was like a love fest, an absolute love fest.
01:13And it was my honor to be involved.
01:15And hopefully — you know, they started to say,
01:18Well, in 1939, the Nazis used Madison Square Garden.
01:22Well — and you know what?
01:24Every — no, but can you imagine?
01:26In 1939, the Nazis — they were — but — but how
01:31terrible to say, right?
01:32Because, you know, they've used Madison Square Garden
01:34many times.
01:35Many people have used it.
01:36But nobody has ever had a crowd like that.
01:38And I'll tell you what, right now, nobody has ever
01:40had love like that.
01:41That was love in the room, and it was love for our
01:44country.
01:46It was really love for our country.
01:49So we're going to fight like hell for the next
01:51seven days.
01:52And then, hopefully —
02:01And then, hopefully, and most importantly, we're
02:04going to be fighting even harder for the next four
02:07years because we're going to turn this around and
02:08we're going to make this country greater than it
02:11has ever been.
02:13Thank you very much.
