Verducci on the Dodgers dominating the Yankees.
Transcript
00:00L.A. is going right through the Yankees and we can all see it Tom but I want to get your thoughts
00:04question is we waited so long how did we get here what has gone right for the Dodgers and what has
00:09gone wrong for the Yankees yeah for the Dodgers go back to the trade deadline right getting Tommy
00:14Edmund Michael Kopech Jack Flaherty uh they've got uh Mookie Betts back off the I.L. Max Muncy back
00:20off the I.L. so since the middle of August really the Dodgers have become the Dodgers right and
00:25they're playing well over 600 baseballs since then and they have been the best team in baseball these
00:29last two months they're playing that way and we're seeing in the series Jim I know Freddie Freeman
00:34has just gone off but think about how many ways the Dodgers can beat you and for me last night
00:39it's Tommy Edmund in the nine hole gets a walk takes off for second base on a 2-2 pitch so he
00:44stays out of the double play gets himself to second base and that has a great read on a little
00:48flare by Mookie Betts there is not a guarantee that ball was going to hit grass it did he scores
00:53from second base flip side of that is Giancarlo Stanton trying to score from second base for the
00:57Yankees right he gets thrown out by a mile I did have a problem with the send Teoscar Hernandez
01:02made a great throw the Yankees are trying to make anything happen at that point uh but they
01:07had the worst base running team in baseball so when the Yankees don't hit home runs they don't
01:11win they've scored seven runs in the series five of those on home runs as far as getting somebody in
01:16or going first and third or making good defensive plays it's just not happening so the path to
01:20victory for the Dodgers is more multifaceted than it is for the Yankees it's shown up in three games
