00:00After a period of strike-free travel on the London Underground, two transport unions have
00:05announced a series of walkouts in November. For those who commute within London, and others
00:10who frequently use Transport for London's tube system, planning your journeys ahead
00:15of time may be essential for next month as the strikes will impact much of the capital's
00:21transport network.
00:22ASLEF and the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers, the RMT, have both
00:29announced strikes over a pay dispute and subsequent inadequate pay offers during negotiations.
00:36Transport for London Oyster photocards are still unavailable following a cyberattack.
00:41About 5,000 customers were contacted by TfL, saying details including their sort codes
00:48and bank account numbers could have been accessed by hackers amid the cyber security incident
00:54at the start of September. A 17-year-old boy was arrested over the hack, which also
01:00includes names, emails, home addresses and Oyster refund data. TfL apologised for the
01:06disruption but has not said exactly when it would be able to reissue the photocards.
01:13Photocards affected include those for children, students, care leavers, people aged over 60,
01:18apprentices and veterans.
01:21British Airways is cancelling all flights to New York from London Gatwick until 2025.
01:27The cancellations are down to a shortage of planes. BA was meant to be getting a delivery
01:32of engines and parts from Rolls-Royce for its Boeing 787 aircraft but there are ongoing
01:39supply chain issues across aviation causing those deliveries to be delayed. BA runs nine
01:46daily services from London to New York's JFK, eight of which take off from London Heathrow
01:52and one from Gatwick. The Heathrow services to the Big Apple will be unaffected by the
01:57changes British Airways has made.
