00:00It's inspired by real events, experiences that I had growing up in Vancouver as an immigrant
00:17in the 90s.
00:18It is very personal.
00:19Don't call me that!
00:23My name is Noelle and I play younger Donghyun.
00:29I'm Seungyoon, I'm an actor of Rice Boys Sleeves.
00:45As I was writing it and as I was making the film, I actually, you know, really was mindful
00:50about being as personal as I could possibly make it.
00:57There's a lot of heavy aspects in my character, especially now that he's breaking his innocence,
01:02he's sort of realizing that he doesn't fit in.
01:05I was born in Canada, but I always felt that there's like a disconnect to my Korean origin.
01:19I think this is not only about Asian family story, it's for everyone.
01:24It is a mother and son story and it is about a love and it's about the sacrifices that
01:29a mother makes for her son.
01:31That's the thing that I hope audiences can really take away from it.
01:35She never stopped worrying for her son.
