00:00In Manila's South Cemetery, some of our countrymen visited their loved ones early in the morning

00:07so that they won't be accompanied by the rain of people tomorrow.

00:16From Las Piñas, Conny Caniete went early to Manila's South Cemetery

00:21to offer flowers and prayers to her loved ones,

00:26including her brother.

00:28We are avoiding a lot of people, traffic, and traffic jams.

00:36We want to be able to go here more comfortably.

00:42But Conny's house has been flooded for almost 6 years.

00:46Her son and daughter-in-law's house was also flooded

00:50because of the changing weather.

00:52Our plan is not to increase the number of visitors.

01:03Manila's South Cemetery is already busy with the flood of visitors.

01:09They expect that more people will come this year

01:12compared to last year, when there were more than 500,000 people.

01:18Manila's South Cemetery has an area of 25 hectares

01:21and is the second-largest public cemetery in the entire Metro Manila.

01:25We are ready. We have already prepared the e-trikes.

01:30Medical teams, ambulances, and police are deployed inside and outside the cemetery.

01:38to assist senior citizens, volunteers, and PWDs.

01:43The local government of Manila has also provided free rides.

02:03To our visitors, especially senior citizens and PWDs,

02:08if you go now, don't come back tomorrow.

02:17The Manila Police District is also ready.

02:27The cemetery is open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
