00:00Bienvenue à Paris
00:23Welcome to Vogue World
00:30A few years ago, Vogue had a crazy idea. The magazine team wanted to explore new ways of telling fashion stories.
00:37Coming out of the pandemic, they all felt it was important to do that, whatever it was going to be, in person.
00:43And they thought, why not a fashion show?
00:46We could take the best collections of the season and give them a location, a cast, an editorial point of view.
00:52And that became Vogue World New York.
00:56The year after, Vogue World went to London.
00:59The show celebrated theatre and raised more than 1.5 million pounds for non-profit performing art groups.
01:08And this year, on June 23rd, 2024, Vogue's most ambitious idea yet,
01:13which is to celebrate a century of French fashion and sport in the heart of Paris, in the Place Vendome.
01:21The Place Vendome is Anna Wintour's idea, and ever since it entered the conversation,
01:26every other location in Paris seems second best.
01:29Ticket sales will fund the non-profit Secours Populaire in providing sports equipment to young athletes.
01:35Iconic fashion experts Karine Roitfeld and Yves Camara will style the parade.
01:40Alexandre Sanson, a renowned fashion historian at the Palais Galliera in Paris,
01:45created the historic dresses that will highlight the show.
01:48Superstar Paris Goebbels will choreograph.
01:51And of course, Anna Wintour will supervise like everything, encourage like everyone.
02:00This is Inside Vogue World Paris.
02:18We have current collections, archive pieces, custom pieces, all for the show.
02:24There's sewing everywhere!
02:26Yes.
02:27So here we have a look from Schiaparelli.
02:29Here we have a look from Jean-Paul Gaultier.
02:31These are looks of white that will be worn by the dancers.
02:34We have 70 dancers who performed on the Place Vendome, all choreographed by Paris Goebbels.
02:39This is quite incredible, it's a Lanvin dress that was made especially for the show.
02:45And it's inspired by a swimsuit that was made by Jeanne Lanvin in 1924,
02:49so 100 years ago at the time of the Olympic Games.
02:51Vogue World celebrates 100 years of French couture,
02:54and 100 years of the Olympic Games,
02:55because the last time the Olympic Games took place in Paris was 100 years ago.
02:58It's not necessarily an event you see live,
03:00it's thought of like a movie set,
03:02where something happens every time, and I think it's going to be pretty crazy.
03:05We have all the houses that participate on the Place Vendome.
03:09Aya Nakamura, Bad Bunny.
03:11This is going to go down in history.
03:15We divided the show into decades.
03:18Each decade we assigned a sport.
03:22And then Yves Camara and Karine Roitfeld divided the decades that each style.
03:27So here we have the 1920s with cycling,
03:29so with Chanel, which will be the house that opens.
03:33Because the 1920s are the emergence of Chanel.
03:42The 1930s
03:45The 1920s
03:48The 1920s
03:51The 1920s
03:53I had never worked on an event of this scale.
03:55It's going to be next week that's going to be intense with the fittings.
04:03The 1920s
04:06The 1920s
04:11The 1920s
04:23We're at Westin, in the middle of fitting for the show.
04:27And we don't have much time.
04:29How many are there on the scale of the panic?
04:31From 1 to 10? Eight!
04:34And what's going on? Who is where?
04:36Here is the Yves Camara section,
04:38with the different decades that he is in charge of.
04:42And here is Karine's section,
04:45who is sitting on her couch,
04:47doing the fittings since this morning.
04:50Why did you say yes to Anna Wintour?
04:52Because I've never done it.
04:55I like to do something I've never done.
04:57I find it fun to go back to Vogue.
05:00Most of the pieces are pieces that were on show last March.
05:03And some are vintage,
05:05which have been redone identically.
05:09This is a dress from 1939, from Cristobal Balenciaga,
05:12which only exists on this photo.
05:14That's not true.
05:15They did a lot of research in the press to find other drawings,
05:18and they redid this dress.
05:20I don't know much about the 1920s, 1930s,
05:22and to see what was there, you learn.
05:24What's good is that we're on a show,
05:26we're going to be able to learn a lot.
05:28He knows everything.
05:30I learn a lot.
05:34I'm nervous.
05:38You see that walk? I did this for a living.
05:42It's getting complicated.
05:44There are so many complicated clothes.
05:46But it's beautiful.
05:50What's the message of Vogue World for you?
05:52We were always very interested in this idea of unity,
05:55and people coming together.
05:57There are so many people,
05:59almost 500 people on stage.
06:01Paris is the capital of fashion,
06:03and I think what we're trying to do
06:05is show that fashion can live in the streets in a different way,
06:08and be a little bit more joyful.
06:14She knows how to do it.
06:16Now we need music for you.
06:18I feel like one of the models from the 70s,
06:21because I look at those videos all the time,
06:23and to see them walk and swing their arms
06:25and have so much personality,
06:27it's like I'm reliving this moment.
06:29To channel them and their energy.
06:52We're at the Michelet High School
06:54to prepare for the run-off show.
06:56We don't have the Vendôme Square for 10 days
06:58to be able to rehearse,
07:00and the idea is to have a place that's big enough
07:02where we can get the 500 performers
07:04who will be on the Vendôme Square together.
07:06And Paris, Goebbels and the team
07:08will go from one set to the other
07:10to brief all these people, make sure everything goes well.
07:12Okay, first positions.
07:14Okay, music.
07:16Blue part.
07:19Nice.
07:22Yeah.
07:25Last part, go.
07:31Finish it. Bye.
07:34Thank you, guys.
07:37The rehearsal time on set is really microscopic.
07:41And even though we're replicating the Vendôme Square here
07:43with plots,
07:45it obviously has nothing to do with the Vendôme Square.
07:47That's why we have to practice as much as possible
07:49so that everything goes well on Sunday.
07:53So everybody go down on your left
07:56and up with your right.
07:58Yeah.
08:07What does it feel like to dance with Paris?
08:09For me, it's a little check on my bucket list.
08:13She's someone I watched my videos with when I was 16.
08:17There's a little full circle moment there.
08:19It's a big challenge
08:21because her way of working is quite different
08:23in the sense that she is very meticulous
08:25on small details.
08:27In fact, it's not the dance itself,
08:29it's the overall vision of the thing.
08:31So we're not far back enough,
08:33so when we pre-set, let's be a little bit further forward
08:35because we were kind of behind the audience.
08:37Do you want to go one more time?
08:39It's going to work. Ready?
08:41One of them in his head is a mathematician.
08:43He has cousins in his head.
08:45There's someone who does math. It's crazy.
08:47Five, six, face the front.
08:55Okay, stop.
08:56She's really a choreographer who is
08:58sitting on the dance industry
09:00and that doesn't stop her from being kind and simple.
09:02Maybe when you get to the ground, you start turning.
09:04So it's cool. That means it's possible.
09:06She knows everybody's names.
09:08Really?
09:10For me, that's crazy. 70 dancers.
09:12You're okay to do one by...
09:15solo or you want to do together?
09:17Together.
09:19Together at the same time or one solo?
09:21What do you prefer?
09:23If you need choreo, then create choreo.
09:25What do you prefer?
09:41My brain's going to explode.
09:43Five minutes to think about it.
09:45Can you give me this?
09:47You promise?
09:49What are you thinking?
10:14For me, it's very important.
10:35It's the exact identity of the original.
10:38All the measurements.
10:40It's like if Gabrielle Chanel was yelling at you while you were doing it.
10:42Yeah, a little bit.
10:44Exactly.
10:46It does something.
10:48We see her in museums
10:50so we tell ourselves that once we've done some real remakes,
10:52it always does something.
10:56You're going fast.
10:58Yes, but we're also taken by the time.
11:00It's for tomorrow.
11:02What are you doing?
11:04I'm doing the little border to finish the neckline.
11:06That's it.
11:08It's the same thing.
11:10I'm not going to steal your job tomorrow.
11:13Have you ever worked on Gabrielle Chanel's dresses?
11:15No.
11:17I've been here for 22 years.
11:19But it's the first time I've done a reproduction.
11:21How does it feel to make a Gabrielle Chanel dress?
11:23I'm delighted.
11:25Is it fragile?
11:27Yes, and it's heavy.
11:29With the embroidery, it's super heavy.
11:34It's dancing.
11:36Yes, it's a dancing dress.
11:41Don't be afraid, it's not fragile.
11:43Yes, but...
11:46Don't be afraid, don't avoid the danger.
12:02Wow, this is couture.
12:04This is insane, from the 20s.
12:06Hi.
12:08Hi, how are you?
12:10What a surprise, I had no idea.
12:12You guys.
12:1420s Chanel.
12:16Gorgeous.
12:18Pinch me everywhere, please, and thank you.
12:39You made it?
12:48I only know how to say cute.
12:56And a pleasure for me to wear it.
13:04What's the mission today?
13:06Today is to get as much looks and fittings done as possible.
13:10So I can understand how the 80s and 60s will look.
13:14It's a useless puzzle, no?
13:16It's complicated, but it's going to be fun.
13:18It's fun to solve it and figure it out.
13:24Okay, let's shoot it then.
13:26I like it on her.
13:28She's cool.
13:30She's cool, no?
13:32How did you edit?
13:34Because it's like infinite possibilities.
13:36Yes, I think it's about
13:38finding a story, you know?
13:40And what makes sense.
13:42Do you have a dream outfit?
13:44No, but I like a section.
13:46I like the 60s.
13:48I think the 60s is very futuristic.
13:50I love that kind of universe,
13:52of going somewhere.
13:54We have some Pacos, some Off-White,
13:56some Jacquemus, some Balenciagas.
13:58Yes.
14:02How preoccupied are you?
14:04What day is it? Who are you? Where am I?
14:06How many tests do you have to do today?
14:08About a thousand and one.
14:10It's just hard.
14:12Everyone's working very fast.
14:14Long hours.
14:16We have a show in less than four days.
14:18Yay!
14:20Thank you very much.
14:22We already have 25 emails from Karine's team
14:24because we're missing
14:26some looks, some shoes.
14:28There was a request from Anna
14:30that came up in the middle of the night.
14:32Some looks have changed.
14:34Great. You're not bored?
14:36No, we're not bored.
14:38This is Caperney, Dior, Stella,
14:40Jacquemus and Isabel Marant.
14:42Okay.
14:50Okay.
14:52I didn't quite understand
14:54the dress.
14:56It felt a bit schizophrenic.
14:58Maybe that should go out.
15:00I don't know.
15:02Or it should go at the end.
15:04Here's the look.
15:06I do think it belongs in this era.
15:08I will believe a woman
15:10in the 90s football.
15:12What? Playing football in the 90s?
15:14No, no, no.
15:16It's also the red camo.
15:18It's a very Diana also.
15:20It's a pretty woman.
15:22Maybe you build towards it
15:24rather than having it stuck in the middle.
15:26Maybe that's what's throwing me.
15:28Let's practice.
15:30Let's do it.
15:52Let's do it.
16:18What do you think?
16:20We just played your arrangement.
16:22No surprise.
16:24Cool, thanks.
16:26Today we are more in studio session
16:28so we have small pieces.
16:30We don't have yet the transition.
16:32Okay.
16:38It's my turn.
16:40It's going to be my turn.
16:50You can be there.
16:52You can count on me.
16:56I have the mental.
16:58You already know.
17:02No, I'm not afraid of that.
17:08I can cry.
17:10To collect them.
17:20It was moving.
17:22You were there since the start.
17:24I didn't see you.
17:26When did you arrive?
17:28It's my secret.
17:30What is this song about?
17:32Love.
17:34Love.
17:36Do you like it?
17:38Yes.
17:40I thought he was telling me something
17:42and I didn't see you.
17:44I'm shy.
17:46You're shy.
17:48Okay.
17:50What made you say yes to Vogue World?
17:52It's a fashion event.
17:54If I can mix songs and fashion,
17:56it's perfect for me.
17:58Place Vendôme on Sunday.
18:00Place Vendôme on Sunday.
18:04Goodbye Louis.
18:06Leave me alone.
18:18Leave me alone.
18:20Leave me alone.
18:22Leave me alone.
18:24Leave me alone.
18:26Leave me alone.
18:28Leave me alone.
18:30Leave me alone.
18:32Leave me alone.
18:34Leave me alone.
18:36Leave me alone.
18:38Leave me alone.
18:40Leave me alone.
18:42Leave me alone.
18:44Leave me alone.
18:46Place Vendôme on Sunday.
18:48Yeah.
18:52How long does it take?
18:54About 300 hours.
18:56There are 300,000 sequins
18:58sewn on the bodysuit.
19:00By hand?
19:02By hand.
19:04How comfortable is it?
19:06It's actually really comfortable.
19:08I was thinking it's going to be itchy or something
19:10but the material inside is very soft
19:12so you don't feel it on your skin.
19:14There are a lot of pins,
19:16you still have a lot of work to do.
19:18The last minute touches, as usual.
19:20No Saturday in the sewing.
19:22No Saturday, no Sunday, no night.
19:26Are the shoulders working in our category?
19:28It's too big.
19:30No, it's fine.
19:32I think the color goes well with it.
19:34The length is good.
19:36Are you sure?
19:38I have just a slight doubt.
19:40Just to stop everything?
19:42It's not the right side.
19:44What do you mean?
19:46It is the back.
19:48No way!
19:50I love that, it's very surrealistic.
19:52How is the back?
19:54That's the front.
19:56With the hook there?
19:58Look.
20:00You can look at the photo.
20:02It's not blatant, blatant.
20:06It's a vertebral cone.
20:08He's right, the front is there.
20:10You have to change it.
20:12That's why he was really big here.
20:14A fashion drama.
20:20It's still funny.
20:28Does it seem more normal to you?
20:32The skeleton is in the right direction.
20:46It's the last day before the show.
20:48It's the first one.
20:50It's a look from the 95th fashion show.
20:52The 95th fashion show?
20:54Yes.
21:06When you put on an archive look
21:08by Thierry Mugler,
21:10the person in charge of the archives is there.
21:12You can't do it alone.
21:14Because it's too complicated.
21:16It's fragile.
21:24It's pretty good.
21:26Stunning.
21:28We wanted that to be a quick change
21:30with one of the models,
21:32but it's 45 minutes to put on.
21:36How long is the runway?
21:38Like 30 seconds?
21:40No, you have to walk around the whole place.
21:42I think that I just need to put
21:44some compades on my hips.
21:46Because it's just super heavy on my hips.
21:48Otherwise...
21:50Okay, let's get you out of this as soon as we can.
21:52You're in charge.
22:00So timeless.
22:02It's so good to see you walk in person.
22:04A friend that we all know.
22:06A friend that was born before me, maybe.
22:08I see you doing movements with your body.
22:10Yeah, it's just to
22:12crack my muscles
22:14so I'm ready
22:16at every given point to fit.
22:18To release all my muscle tensions.
22:20Like stress.
22:22I love it, I should do that.
22:24Ow.
22:26Maybe not.
22:28Oh my god, I'm in love with what you guys did.
22:30I can't believe you guys are even...
22:34We're good.
22:36It's early in the day.
22:38It's only 11.
22:42Is it too tight?
22:44It's tight to walk.
22:46On the bottom it's a bit tight, yes.
22:48Maybe they can do an opening on the back.
22:50We have to add them because this is couture.
22:52Yeah, we need to.
22:54So this is a...
22:56They remade a vintage dress from the original of the 30s.
22:58Amazing.
23:00It's reproduced from the original drawings
23:02they got in the archives
23:04and the pictures they found in the press at that time.
23:06It's so beautiful.
23:08Now you're part of the history.
23:10It looks like purposeful.
23:12Yeah, it looks delicate.
23:14I'm like a lady.
23:18Can one of the girls bring me
23:20my nurse's shoes over there?
23:22Wow, she's so fast.
23:24She knows what she's doing.
23:26She's done it both times.
23:28Ciao, papi.
23:30You know what I'm saying?
23:32You time travel.
23:34Wow, I feel...
23:36I feel Titanic right now.
23:38He time traveled.
23:40The Titanic.
23:42Oh, the Titanic?
23:44Yeah.
23:46Bonjour.
23:48Bonjour.
23:50You look extremely chic.
23:52Thank you, you too.
23:54Thank you so much for doing this.
23:56You shut down the city.
23:58Only you could do it.
24:00Literally, only you could do it.
24:02I came and I looked around and said, yeah, only you.
24:04It's going to be fun, I think.
24:06Did you like it?
24:08I love it.
24:10Is it like doing a magazine but live?
24:14Is it more stressful?
24:16It's not stressful.
24:18We have an amazing team that know exactly
24:20what they're doing.
24:22I can't wait to see it come to life tomorrow night.
24:24There's so many plates in the air right now.
24:26They're all going to land.
24:28They won't be broken.
24:30You'll see.
24:36We use it at the beginning of the warm-up
24:38to relax the muscles, to work on them.
24:40Apparently, at Westin,
24:42we have this at our disposal.
24:44It's true, it's crazy.
24:46A survival kit.
24:48Did you do any training today?
24:50I did sprints, strength circuits.
24:52So it's prepared for the world.
24:54Exactly.
24:58So, Jeremy Pauls?
25:00Yes.
25:02Jeremy is here.
25:04Jeremy's Chanel Girls form.
25:08And then the second camera
25:10picks Maluma from here.
25:16He walks to the light post
25:18and leans on it and the camera reveals
25:20Alton who's leaning on the other side.
25:22So it's like a continuous shot.
25:26This is for the film, for the video?
25:28Yes.
25:30People will not see that.
25:32And then, as the
25:34Je M'en Chieux girls come out,
25:36I think we have about 40 girls in gymnastics.
25:38They explode out.
25:40This is Camara and her referee.
25:42How are you?
25:44My girl, good to see you.
25:46This is going to be so fun.
25:48We're so excited.
25:50Nice yellow card.
25:52If I had a red, I'd give you a red.
25:54Iris, everybody tells you
25:56you're a mathematician.
25:58I'm a mathematician?
26:00Me?
26:02Why?
26:04But I failed math.
26:06I failed math in school.
26:08Zero in math.
26:10I dropped out of school.
26:12What do you love the most about this project?
26:16I think working with so many incredible
26:18people that I've looked up to
26:20for a long time.
26:22And what's the toughest?
26:24I think working with so many bodies
26:26and moving parts.
26:28It's so much fun in the show.
26:30And I have to figure out what they're doing.
26:32So, that's been the hardest.
26:34How's your brain?
26:36Exhausted.
26:38In a good way?
26:40Yeah, I'm ready for a drink and a shot.
26:42Did you tell everyone I'm a mathematician?
26:44Yeah.
26:485, 6, 7, 8.
26:502, 2, 3, 4.
26:525, 6, 7, 8.
26:541, 2, 3, 4.
26:56Stay in your line.
26:58And 1, 2, 3, 4.
27:005, 6, 7.
27:02Okay, freeze.
27:04It doesn't stop.
27:06What's the challenge today?
27:08The challenge is to
27:10cohabit 500 performers
27:12on Place Vendôme
27:14who have rehearsed off-site
27:16until midnight today
27:18to make sure these 500 people
27:20are coordinated and do the show.
27:24All stages here?
27:26Where are those things at?
27:28I don't know.
27:30Big enough stage shoes?
27:34Yeah.
27:50How is it to work with Paris?
27:52She's a magician.
27:54Yeah.
27:56We are the magic.
27:58Come, come, come.
28:00Hit it, hit it.
28:021, 2, 3, 4.
28:045, 6, 7, 8.
28:06Ready?
28:08Let's go, guys.
28:32Beautiful.
28:34The wings
28:36are so sexy.
28:38The good thing is when you sit down,
28:40you can just put them
28:42back a little bit.
28:44Or you rest the other people here
28:46and they just have a little back support.
28:48Or I feel like I'm giving
28:50everyone a little hug.
28:52Right next to me, I'm like...
28:54So funny.
28:56She's cute, though.
28:58We're going to try on
29:00some beautiful Givenchy now,
29:02which I feel good about.
29:04We'll see how we get on.
29:06Wow.
29:08It's so soft.
29:14This is really,
29:16really cool.
29:18I love this dress.
29:20The back is a little sexy, too.
29:22I didn't realize.
29:24Sorry, what's going on here?
29:26Oh, excuse me.
29:28I can't. This is gorgeous.
29:30I've been waiting to put this on someone.
29:32And it looks sensational.
29:34That someone is me.
29:40I need everybody
29:42outside the door for rehearsals
29:44in five minutes.
29:46We're already late.
29:48There's so many looks here.
29:50You're seeing a beautiful
29:52rainbow look.
29:54We're busy.
29:56How many people working
29:58with you today?
30:00Around 80.
30:02I wake up like that.
30:04We're getting ready
30:06and we're filling the chairs.
30:08Guys, please stop what you're doing.
30:10We just need to rehearse.
30:12We're late.
30:14We want to be happy.
30:16We're not at a French show.
30:18We're at a global show.
30:22I'm going to rely on you.
30:24Big smiles.
30:26Don't panic, but panic.
30:28Vogue World Paris.
30:44We decided to put
30:46the white horse on the inside
30:48because we felt that the black horse
30:50was disappearing a little bit in the dark.
30:52Good call.
30:54Me and Kendall
30:56are opening the equestrian section
30:58on horses and we're so excited.
31:00These horses are so beautiful.
31:02How does it feel?
31:04Tight.
31:06But it's okay.
31:08Make sure everyone
31:10take a moment.
31:12Enjoy it. Smile.
31:14This is as quick as I can go.
31:16Do we exit?
31:18I think it's going to be a timing thing.
31:20I think it's going to be something
31:22we're going to have to feel out.
31:24Could we untie?
31:26I can make it.
31:28Can we just take it off?
31:30I can make it.
31:32Undo it a little.
31:34So I can save myself for the show.
31:36But it's good. I can do it.
31:38Okay.
31:44The heat is so, so good.
31:46And to go down too,
31:48will someone help me?
31:50Yes.
31:56I love it.
31:58We're testing it
32:00to see if it's comfortable.
32:02Is it good inside?
32:04It's primordial.
32:06If you just take the look,
32:08I think it's much prettier.
32:10How's your brain?
32:12100%.
32:14I need to figure this out.
32:16ASAP.
32:18Do you see mistakes in the rehearsals?
32:20Hopefully, no.
32:22Fingers crossed.
32:24You do all the catwalk this way,
32:26doing all the performing
32:28in the middle of the place.
32:30Why is it important
32:32to participate to Vogue World for you?
32:34It makes me feel happy.
32:36It's for charity.
32:38It helps support other artists,
32:40music, you know.
32:42We're humans. We need to express ourselves.
32:44What kind of moment do you want to give us?
32:46The moment.
32:50Hi, everyone. It's Anna.

33:28Of course.
33:30Thank you so much.
33:40It's sport.

34:04that you have me a part of this.
34:06It started off being this little idea
34:08and it just got bigger and bigger.
34:10Oh, it's big.
34:14I have to tell you that
34:16my daughter is your biggest fan,
34:18so my daughter will kill me
34:20if we don't do it.
34:22Let's take a picture.
34:24Great.
34:28Wonderful.
34:30I'm Balenciaga from the 1930s.
34:32Look at the tag. It's in cursive.
34:34That's how you know it's old.
34:36It's the show of the millennium, darling.
34:38I'm in track and field, so it's going to be a race.
34:40And guess who's going to win?
34:42Go team!
34:48Why is it important for you to be here tonight?
34:50Oh, I love sports.

35:16unites so many people.
35:18And I think to have so much talent
35:20in one place,
35:22magic is bound to happen.
35:24And it's a city of romance.
35:2630 seconds.
35:30Ready to walk
35:32the Vogue World Show.
35:50Smile!
35:52Smile!
35:54We worked on five outfits.
35:56It was pretty funny to come back
35:58to old shapes,
36:00like big triangles.
36:02It was so cute to reinterpret them.
36:04What does Lana Wintour tell us about this event?
36:06She's the queen.
36:08She's the queen of Paris.
36:20And when Anna comes to Paris
36:22and does this,
36:24you should be grateful.
36:26This is amazing.
36:50I'm just grateful
36:52for all the support
36:54from the French community
36:56and the world of fashion here in Paris.
36:58The mayor and everyone else
37:00that's been so supportive of this.
37:02Today that Anna Wintour
37:04comes to celebrate this here in Paris,
37:06it's a great celebration.
37:09Welcome to Vogue World Paris.
37:13I want to see you clap your hands
37:15because I know you like what you see.
37:17Gunnar, yeah!
37:24For me, these dresses were the first
37:26Balenciaga collections when he came to Paris.
37:28I think it's symbolically beautiful
37:30to have included this
37:32in the history of fashion in Paris.
37:34Balenciaga is part of that.
37:39Did you age them or not?
37:41A little bit, yeah.
37:43We worked on them.
37:45How did you age them?
37:47It's a secret.
38:00Why is the tire bar so important?
38:02This is the new look
38:04that changes the perception
38:06of fashion at the moment.
38:08It's very important for you
38:10but it's important also in the fashion history.
