00:00It's really an opera about putting on an opera, and all of the shenanigans that are
00:11involved backstage. The audience can expect a very thrilling night out. I think it's a
00:17wonderful sort of amalgamation of dance, singing, hysterics, comedy. We have a wonderful cast.
00:27It's not your average night out at an opera.
00:30The Convenienze is an opera about the opera world, and it was written when the opera was
00:36actually the most popular form of art in Europe by a composer that was in the centre of the
00:43scene in that moment.
00:45Luigia is the soprano who is always chosen for supporting roles, but she dreams of being
00:56the prima donna, of course. And Mama Agatha is a true southern Italian mother who intervenes
01:04in her daughter's life to help her to realise her dream. But not always this is a very good
01:13thing. And the question is, is this Luigia's dream or her mother's dream? I know the audience
01:24will have a great time and go home confident that they see a beautiful production and an
01:34unforgettable show.
