वृंदावन की सुदामा कुटी में संत समाज की बड़ी बैठक हुई। इस बैठक में दिल्ली में 16 नवंबर को होने वाली धर्म संसद की रूपरेखा तैयार की गई। संतों ने हिंदू समाज को एकजुट करने का आह्वान किया। इस दौरान प्रसिद्ध कथावाचक देवकीनंदन ठाकुर महाराज ने सपा के 'मठाधीश बांटेंगे और काटेंगे...' वाले पोस्टर पर उन्होंने तीखी प्रतिक्रिया दी। उन्होंने कहा, "मैं सभी राजनीतिक लोगों से एक ही बात कहूंगा, संत-महात्मा-मठाधीश सिर्फ जोड़ने का कार्य करते हैं। अपनी विचारधारा बदलने की आवश्यकता है। मैं सभी सनातनियों को कहूंगा, ऐसी गलत बातों का मुंहतोड़ जवाब देने के लिए हम सबको बड़ी संख्या में दिल्ली में धर्म संसद में पहुंचना है...।"
