Hilarious footage has surfaced of a gender reveal going awry.

The comical video begins with the expectant mother holding what she believes is the balloon containing the big reveal of whether she’ll be a boy mom or a girl mom.

Her partner asks her to release the balloon so he can pop it midair with his supposedly perfect slingshot skills.

Though she hesitates, doubting his aim, she’s eventually convinced to let go. What happens next? He misses the target, and the balloon floats away into the sky.

Luckily, this deflating moment was just part of a prank—the real balloon wasn’t used in this clip!
