00:00U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and former U.S. President Donald Trump's battle is close, according to surveys.

00:08Only half of the voters voted because of early voting.

00:11The effect of the U.S. election here in the Philippines on Rafi Pima's success.

00:19The early voting in the U.S. is now formal.

00:21And tomorrow, the voting will start in the polling centers.

00:25There are more than 161 million voters in the U.S.

00:28and almost half of them voted because of early voting.

00:32Currently, the Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris is running in Michigan

00:36while the former President Donald Trump of the Republican Party is in Pennsylvania.

00:41They are called swing states.

00:43Based on the surveys, there is no clear leader in these two candidates.

00:47So, whoever wins in the seven swing states may be the next president of the U.S.

00:54The decision will be made, so to speak,

00:56because it will be neck and neck with all the other states that will bring the electoral votes closer to 270.

01:04Ambassador Romualdez is saying that 270 is the number of electoral votes needed to win as president in the U.S.

02:27In terms of promoting alliances and making sure the Philippines are part of the Indo-Pacific economic framework

02:35and more investment, I think Harris is better.

02:38But in terms of building a bilateral relationship, one based on personalities, one-on-one,

02:44I think that you would have some opportunities there with Trump.
