00:00All right, so the Seahawks, I expected a bounce back after that poor performance against Buffalo
00:08the week before.
00:09They took the Rams right down to the wire, and if not for some mistakes, I think the
00:13Seahawks probably, Adam, would have won the game yesterday.
00:17In overtime, Matthew Stafford finds Demarcus Robinson to pick up the win and the cover.
00:23Very popular pick, I know, publicly yesterday with the Rams going on the road and winning
00:26that one.
00:28But are they good enough to beat out the 49ers?
00:31Are they good enough to beat out the Cardinals?
00:33Because right now, they're the third best odds to win that division.
00:38I know they played much better with a healthier team.
00:40I have to at least give them credit for that.
00:43I was on the Rams yesterday, and believe me, I recognized that it was a gift of a win.
00:48Like you said, Geno Smith quite literally threw that game away.
00:51Multiple red zone interceptions, blown opportunity there down the wire when they had a chance
00:56to walk that thing off at the end of regulation.
00:58It was definitely a spot where the Rams, absent Cooper Cupp, because again, he was kicked
01:04out early for throwing a punch, or not Cooper Cupp, Puka Nkua, pardon me, Matt Stafford
01:09had to really lean on Cooper Cupp and help them sort of seize the day, because it wasn't
01:14a great day for Kyron Williams either.
01:15They were able to do enough, and I just think this division in general is fascinating.
01:21I mean, you look at it, and you outlined some of it.
01:24The Cardinals are the top spot.
01:26That's not going to hold.
01:27Kyler Murray and the Cardinals are not going to win this division, but they are 5-4.
01:32After that, you've got the Rams, the Niners, each 4-4.
01:35The Niners, God willing, man, I mean, if Christian McCaffrey ever does come back, this team absolutely
01:41should get better and should be in the playoffs.
01:44I can't believe we're even sitting in a time where the Niners are outside the playoffs
01:47looking in right now.
01:48And then of course, the Seahawks, who are at 4-5 at this very moment.
01:52But that NFC in general, you know, I was looking at the NFC standings.
01:57It's sort of separating itself already, and again, things can change.
02:01We're only halfway through the year.
02:02But I mean, listen to this.
02:04Remember, the top seven teams in the conference make the playoffs.
02:07So in order right now, Detroit, Washington, Atlanta.
02:11I'm skipping Arizona, because obviously the record's not great, but whatever team wins
02:16the division is going to be slotted into that top four just by virtue of winning the division.
02:21And then your wildcard teams each have six wins.
02:24Minnesota, Philadelphia, Green Bay.
02:26Now it's entirely possible one of these teams or multiple could fall apart, devastating
02:31injuries, whatever else.
02:32Again, a lot of season left.
02:34But right now, six and three is that seven seed.
02:38And then you've got the gap to all these four-win teams, Tampa, Chicago, the Rams, the Niners,
02:43the Seahawks.
02:44Someone's going to have to make a run.
02:46Or this NFC, not seeding-wise for the playoffs, but in terms of who's in, who's out, is going
02:51to be determined relatively early on.
02:54I don't really know what to make of this West.
02:57Other than going in, I expected the Niners, obviously, to win the division before all
03:02the injuries.
03:03I expected the Rams to be one of these wildcard teams, and then the Cardinals and the Seahawks
03:09be on the outside looking in.
03:10I still kind of think we're going to head in that direction, but the fact that we're
03:13sitting where we are right now is borderline shocking.
