00:00The Business Factory is the council's business support programme. It's designed to help businesses,
00:04well residents, start up and businesses develop and grow in the borough. So we have a number of
00:10activities that we do as part of the Business Factory. We have a website that anyone can access
00:16and register, where we have a huge amount of tools, advice, guidance, but then we also deliver
00:21a number of events. We have one-to-one consultancy, flexible consultancy that businesses can utilise.
00:27We have some revenue grants for start-up businesses. We have a whole host of activity
00:31that I would just ask any businesses who'd be interested to come and have a look at the website
00:35and get involved. So Enterprise Week is there to help celebrate the enterprise and spirit of North
00:41Tyneside. So it's about promoting what our businesses are doing in the borough, but also
00:46to put on some bespoke activities to help businesses start, develop and grow. So on Monday,
00:52we have an event that's focused on export and trade, in Walls End on the river, focused at
00:58our sort of offshore and engineering businesses. On Tuesday, we have a start-up event for our
01:02residents, so in Walls End, to understand how to start a business. And then on Wednesday,
01:07we have a networking event that we're working really closely with the North Tyneside Business
01:11Forum on. That's at the Spanish City and it's about understanding how to grow your business
01:16and develop your business. And then on Thursday, we finish with the North Tyneside Business Awards,
01:20which is a real celebration of all the businesses in the borough. We tend to have quite a lot of
01:25small and medium-sized businesses involved. And then we also provide a significant contribution
01:30award to a bigger business as well. As part of the business factory activity, we also have a
01:35pop-up shop in the forum in Walls End, in the shopping centre. And that's given any start-up
01:39businesses or new businesses an opportunity to feel what it's like to trade from a premises.
01:44So we're able to give businesses a week within that space to really get a feel for what it's
01:51like to trade. So that's open to any businesses looking for that opportunity. They just need
01:56to get in touch with us via the website.
