00:00We are live in Washington on Election Day.
00:04The city is absolutely buzzing.
00:07There are so many people around, so many people getting out to the polls,
00:11and so far it is a very, very Harris feeling.
00:15But, as we know, Washington is a blue state,
00:18so we might not know the results tonight, we might not know for a couple of days,
00:22but soon, hopefully, we'll have an answer.
00:24We're out very early this morning at the Martin Luther King Memorial Library.
00:29This is a polling centre.
00:31It opened at 7am, and it has been very busy.
00:35Lots of Washingtonians have gotten out early to cast their vote.
00:39So far, we've polled about five people, and all of them are voting for Kamala Harris.
00:51How is the feeling in Washington at the moment?
00:54It's a little tense.
00:55I think you never know what could happen with elections,
00:58but I think there hasn't been any credible threats to my knowledge,
01:02so that could be a little bit of fear-mongering from someone.
01:06What do you think America will look like if Trump does become president?
01:10I don't even want to know.
01:14I don't want to know.
01:15I think it might be bad, especially on both sides,
01:19so I just hope that everything turns out good.
01:22What do you think the result is going to be?
01:25I am being optimistic.
01:27You never know, but I am hoping for a Kamala win.
01:41Tell me, when you see places boarded up like this, does that make you nervous?
01:45Kind of, but I don't anticipate any violence or anything.
01:50If Harris wins, and Trump either.
01:54I hope it's a win for Kamala, but if it's not, I don't know.
01:59I don't know.
02:01We might have a civil war.
02:04So we've just spent the last five or six hours visiting polling booths and other sites around Washington.
02:10One thing we have noticed is that we haven't come across a lot of Trump voters or supporters.
02:15Nearly everyone we've spoken to has been voting for Kamala Harris,
02:19which in Washington isn't a huge surprise.
02:22This is a very blue area.
02:24But we will follow on tonight as hopefully a result is known,
02:28but all eyes will be focused on Wisconsin, Philadelphia, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Michigan and Arizona,
02:37as they will be the very important decider states.
