00:00Shabbir, have you also been attached with the property for 20 years?
00:10Actually, 21 years, we started in 2003 and the idea then wasn't to start a league called
00:19ACB but it was just to enjoy cricket, play cricket, we are all very passionate cricketers
00:25who are actors, so we thought the best way to play cricket is for the fraternity to come
00:31together because that way we understand each other's dates and stuff like that, so you
00:37know that when a person is not available, he is not available because he is busy.
00:42So that was the thought behind it 21 years back, 2024 we are standing in front of a really
00:49really cool tournament called ACB which is the brainchild of Dilip, solely Dilip, it's
00:55his passion, his vision, his dream that has got hundreds of actors together to play in
01:00a tournament and it's not easy to have a tournament like ACB where the people playing cricket
01:07are not professional cricketers but actors, so getting them together on those particular
01:12dates on the same ground is commendable and hats off to you Dilip, only you could have
01:17done this and congratulations for such a fabulous tournament, all the best to you.
01:23Congratulations, congratulations.
01:24Then I want to ask you something else, so you said that you are actors who are also
01:31cricketers.
01:32Very good cricketers.
01:33Right, very good cricketers.
01:34So if you weren't an actor, it's safe to say that you would have been a cricketer.
01:37Footballer.
01:38I mean, do you play football or cricket?
01:42No, I didn't say that I don't play football, I said that we are playing cricket but if
01:47I wasn't an actor, I would have been a footballer.
01:48So do you play football better or cricket better?
01:50100%.
01:51Alright, alright.
01:52Okay, tell me something, now you know sport kind of changes the ethos of any society,
01:59right?
02:00And I think you know when I was talking to Praveen also, kind of bringing the show together
02:05and creating a property such as this where actors who are passionate about cricket come
02:11together but what do you think, how does it change when people watch it, now that it's
02:17going to be broadcast on fan code?
02:18When people watch it, what is the message that you are trying, is it only a bunch of
02:22actors trying to have fun or is it that you are trying to also deliver a message to people
02:26who will be watching you?
02:28There isn't really an agenda of a message but I am sure there will be many messages
02:33that will be derived from what we do but as actors, we are not here just to give a message,
02:41we are here to have fun, we want to enjoy our cricket and while doing that, we also,
02:46while talking to you, I thought of a message where it's never too late to play a sport.
02:52So, that wasn't our idea but somewhere it could be.
02:57But it's a fantastic thing, right?
02:58Yeah, it could be fitness and sport should always be a part of life.
03:01Yeah, it's never too late to pick up a sport and nowadays there are so many new sports
03:05also coming in so you have a choice, if you are fit, you play one of those contact sports,
03:11if you are fast-paced sports, you are not fit, you play some other sport but not poker.
03:16I am talking about sport.
03:20That's exactly what I wanted to arrive at and we have it.
03:23There's a message.
03:24Thank you very much Abhi.
03:26You may now take your seat.
03:27Fantastic.
