00:00The proposed 2025 National Budget has joined the plenary debates of the Senate.

00:05The contents of the budget are as follows, as stated by Daniel Manalastas.

00:11The debate in the Senate for the proposal of the 2025 National Budget has already started.

00:17Last night, Senator Grace Poe gave a sponsorship speech

00:21on some important objectives based on the committee report.

00:25The budget is based on the Center for Welfare, Education, Technology,

00:29Life, Assistance, and many more.

00:42Not to mention the hotly discussed budget of the Office of the Vice President.

00:46Poe confirmed that they adopted the version of the Camera in the committee

00:50in which the budget of the Office of the Vice President, Sara Duterte,

00:54can reach P733 million.

00:57In other words, the budget of the OVP has now reached the committee level of the Senate.

01:03As for the 2025 National Budget,

01:06the Senator assured that the funds for the committee will not be reduced.

01:10Not to mention the assistance for the Kapos Ang Kita Program.

01:14Poe said that this will depend on the Senate's debate on the budget.

01:18They agreed on the passing of the budget by the deadline.

01:23Aside from that, there will be additional funds for health

01:26and support for the budget in case of calamity.

01:29We will have additional funds for the Integrated Disaster Shelter Assistance Program

01:35that will be used for emergency shelter support.

01:38The current version of the Senate budget includes

01:42the program for senior citizens,

01:45housing for the Filipino family,

01:47assistance for OFWs and PUV drivers.

01:51The budget will also focus on agriculture,

01:55infrastructure, work, transportation, defense,

01:58and fight against criminality.

02:00And to prevent the escapees from escaping,

02:05this was fought by Senator Riza.

02:08The Senate shall support the funding for the Automated Biometrics Identification System

02:14of the Bureau of Immigration.

02:18If there is an agency that has increased or reduced the budget,

02:22it is not yet final because the Senators are still debating

02:26on the 2025 National Budget.

02:29And in the end, it will still run on votes.
