00:00Residents in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem have shared their thoughts on Donald Trump's victory in
00:05the U.S. election amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
00:09We are honored today with the victory of Trump. It is a victory for the entire American people,
00:19for the entire people of Israel, and it is a victory that provides every word of anti-semitism
00:25in the world.
00:27But the mood is less positive among Palestinians living in the West Bank,
00:32many of whom are unhappy with America's policy towards the war.
00:35We always hope that there will be a change in American policy, in the deep American state,
00:41that there will be support for human rights, support for the Palestinians.
00:46But whoever wins, Trump or Harris, I think that the policy towards the Palestinians is one policy.
00:54Although Trump vowed last week to ensure peace in the Middle East if he was elected,
00:59he has consistently positioned himself as a strong advocate for Israel.
01:05Following the October 7th Hamas attack, he also pledged to bar refugees from Gaza
01:11and begin ideological screening for all immigrants who sympathize with the Palestinian militant group.
