00:06Yesterday we had a fire involving electrical equipment, which thankfully was attended by Lancaster Fire and Rescue.
00:15We believe the fire started as a result of an inappropriately disposed of e-scooter or e-bike, which unfortunately caught fire.
00:26As you can see, we have quite an extensive mound of waste that has been damaged as a result of this fire.
00:35Thanks once again to Lancaster Fire and Rescue.
00:38However, the message for me is please, when you're attending the recycling centre or actually disposing of any waste, including batteries,
00:47please remove those batteries, whether they're lithium-ion or alkali batteries, so that they can be disposed of appropriately.
00:55Both lithium-ion and alkaline batteries can be accepted at the Bristol Avenue Household Waste Recycling Centre. Thank you.
