J.K. Simmons plays Santa Claus in Warner Bros. new movie, Red One... however, his Father Christmas is a little bit different! 00:22Because it checks all the boxes that I hope to see when I go to the movie theatre. There's

00:31You play Santa Claus, or Nick to his mates. You're a bit different though, a bit different
00:36looking. How was that?
00:38Growing a beard, it was fantastic. I love not shaving. It was a great take on Santa
00:45Claus that Chris and Hiram and Jake came up with and put on the page and I was honoured
00:52to be the guy to take it from the page to the stage.
00:55It looked like a lot of fun. So when you got the phone call or the email about being
01:00Santa Claus, how did it all come around?
01:03Well, you know, I get an email from my agent that they'd like me to do this and the script
01:09is attached and the first thing I always do, I don't read the log line or the descriptions
01:15or this is what we... I just read the script and if the script lands with me then I'm on
01:21board and this script just jumped off the page and it was such a great character and
01:25all the other characters, Cal and Jack and Wesley and Mrs Claus, the wonderful Bonnie
01:32Hunt, everything just fit together beautifully.
01:36Yeah, Dwayne, Bonnie, Lucy, Chris. What was that cast like?
01:40Great. I mean, unbelievable every day to come to work with one or more of those people.
01:45Lucy and I crossed paths only briefly. Kiernan, of course, had me trapped and Bonnie was so
01:52wonderful to get to work with her and then I guess Chris and Dwayne, they were okay too.
01:59What is your favourite Christmas film that isn't Red One then?
