00:00The Australian-Taiwanese Firefighters 2025 calendar has officially been released, marking
00:05the first time ever heroes from the two countries have collaborated.
00:08And now for the calendar, six Taiwanese firefighters flew all the way to Australia for the photo
00:13shoot.
00:14For five years, we've had a very strong bond and friendship with Taiwan and the people.
00:19And it seemed like we've been working with the fire authorities here on different smaller
00:24projects that we should do a big project, which was a great idea.
00:29For over 30 years, the Australian Firefighters calendar has been supporting the Children's
00:34Hospital Foundation, providing funds for research into childhood burns and other charities.
00:40With this Taiwan-Australia collaboration announced in April this year, Taiwanese firefighters
00:44can now join the effort.
00:46It's an honor to be on the cover of the calendar.
00:51The Australians are really strong.
00:54It was really fun, it was such a great experience, just to meet the guys from Taiwan.
01:03They're all so fit, so strong, made me a little bit nervous because they're amazing.
01:09Among the Taiwanese firefighters, one in particular stands out, Zhou Peiru, who is the only female
01:15featured in the calendar, marking the first time in a decade for a woman to be part of
01:20the Australian Firefighters calendar.
01:22I feel a lot of pressure, because the Australian and other men's muscle lines, I really admire
01:31them.
01:32I can only do my best to show them.
01:33It's a live fire, so it's a little nerve-wracking to touch them for the first time.
01:37Especially when there's fire on the ground, it burns your feet.
01:43So I'm a little scared, but I'm still able to complete the shoot with their help.
01:49The firefighters' duty is to put out flames, but now with Taiwanese and Australian firefighters
01:53working together on the calendar, it looks like things will only get hotter.
