00:00The Prime Minister says we have a very constructive, that's what he says, relationship with the
00:05US, whoever is in power.
00:09We had a foreign secretary who rather colourfully described Donald Trump as a sociopath, a neo-Nazi
00:19sympathiser, and that was some of the tamer things he says.
00:22He said, is Donald Trump the kind of person who just forgets those sorts of remarks?
00:27No, I don't think he does.
00:29But he does, as everything, there's always a negotiation and you've seen members of your
00:34government walk that back a little, try to re-establish relationships.
00:39Is the special relationship as so-called between Britain and America intact?
00:44I believe it is.
00:46It extends beyond one administration.
00:48Look, I served in the Bush administration and the Trump administration.
00:51You've seen both the Obama and the Biden administration.
00:53That special relationship is not just dependent on who's elected president.
00:58We enjoy that bond because of our shared history.
01:01And I think it'll continue.
01:02But, look, when you step out and make comments like your foreign secretary did...
01:07Causes tension.
01:08It does.
