00:00Well, the biggest numbers to come out of the election
00:02have nothing to do with votes.
00:04Nothing to do with votes.
00:05Although, some people on the left
00:08might say that these numbers have a lot to do
00:10with the election numbers.
00:12Because Elon Musk gambled big time.
00:15He put all his chips in on Donald Trump.
00:17If this were Vegas, it would be the biggest bet
00:19in the history of betting.
00:21And he put all his chips in on Donald Trump,
00:22and it paid off in a huge way yesterday.
00:27The day after the election.
00:28He is, as of the day after the election, $26.5 billion
00:36richer.
00:37Billion dollars richer.
00:39I still remember when it used to be,
00:41when you would hear that someone had $26 billion.
00:44That was one of the wealthiest people in the world,
00:46had $26 billion.
00:48I remember when there was no such thing as a billionaire.
00:51Right.
00:51And now, he is approaching $300 billion.
00:56He's got $290 billion.
00:58And he wasn't the only winner.
00:59Yesterday, and we should say that, look,
01:01yesterday, every billionaire, most of them,
01:04made a lot of money.
01:05Because the stock market went way up.
01:08And Jeff Bezos, who was not out stumping for Donald Trump,
01:13but still managed to increase his wealth by $7 billion.
01:18And I think, just in terms of Bezos' play,
01:21his play was neutral.
01:23That's what he did.
01:23And he got a lot of criticism with the Washington Post,
01:26because they didn't endorse a candidate.
01:28And he kind of made that decision at the last minute.
01:31But he benefited.
01:33A lot of these billionaires are benefiting in a big way.
01:36But Elon, especially.
01:38It's not just money.
01:39It's power.
01:40He's got enough money.
01:42Elon Musk, from everything we're hearing,
01:45is going to wield an enormous amount of power.
01:48He will be in President Trump's ear,
01:51have his ear at all times.
01:53And I guess that's, to the victor go the spoils, right?
01:56He put all the money in on the campaign,
01:59created this PAC for him, this super PAC.
02:02And so that's what happens when your guy wins the election.
02:06And one of the things they're talking about with Elon
02:09is giving him the power to start looking
02:13at all the regulations in federal government
02:17and try to deregulate a lot of things.
02:20And that aligns with his bias.
02:23That's a major problem.
02:25Because he has companies that have government contracts.
02:27I know, I know.
02:29If that's what they end up doing, that's a big problem.
02:32From everything we're hearing, that's where he's going to be.
02:37I mean, it just seems like this is a recipe for disaster.
02:40And Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, all these guys
02:44are hedging their bets and were scared
02:45to say anything about Donald Trump
02:47because they know how vengeful he is.
02:50And they know if they were to speak out against him
02:52during the election that he would come after them
02:55if he became president.
02:57So that's why that they didn't want to speak out about him.
03:00And now they're just kind of kissing his feet
03:03and just hoping that their companies
03:05reign the benefits of it.
03:06See, you know, it's funny you say that.
03:09I don't know for Elon Musk whether it's so much
03:13about his company as it is power.
03:17Because look, Elon Musk has rolled the dice a million times.
03:20He almost went bankrupt before with Tesla.
03:24So he has rolled the dice on money.
03:26He's got $290 billion right now.
03:30I think power is more important.
03:33Don't you?
03:34Because he's, yeah, the money's going to be there now.
03:36That's not an issue for him.
03:37Money's there.
03:38Right, and the money will come and go.
03:40It'll fluctuate at numbers that the rest of us would,
03:43that boggles our mind.
03:44Right, like yesterday.
03:44But power is the thing that he now,
03:47he is seated at the power.
03:49By the way, I just, it would not be crazy,
03:53it would not be crazy if Cybertrucks
03:56became the presidential motor car.
03:58Absolutely, absolutely.
04:00I just saw it in my mind.
04:01Oh, no, no, no, I've been thinking about this.
04:02There are going to be flags on these Cybertrucks.
04:04The Cybertruck sales are lagging.
04:06They're not anywhere near what Tesla would like it to be.
04:10And what more high profile positioning for it?
04:14I could see Donald Trump saying yes to that
04:17in about one second.
04:19I'm really serious.
04:20He doesn't have to worry about Detroit anymore
04:22because he's not going to run for reelection.
04:23Yeah, he doesn't have to, but the party does, right?
04:25And that would really.
04:26But he's going to say it's still American made.
04:29Yeah, but right now it's Cadillac.
04:31And it has been for a long time.
04:33I know.
04:34You betting against that?
04:35No, I wouldn't be shocked, like I said.
04:37But I feel bad for Detroit.
04:40I'm Justice from Arizona.
04:42I've really been trying to be optimistic about the future,
04:44but this is not looking good for the working class.
04:48A billionaire, a trillionaire does not need to be involved
04:52in our government.
04:53He's disconnected from what we have to go through.
04:55And the rich getting richer is never a good thing.
04:58So I'm trying to keep my head up, but I'm scared.
05:01Let me ask you a question about that.
05:03Bill Gates is much more liberal certainly than Elon Musk
05:09and has done a lot for climate change and everything else.
05:12So is it money that really makes a difference?
05:14Because if Kamala Harris won and she put Bill Gates
05:18in charge of something involving the environment,
05:22would that bother you because he's a billionaire,
05:24a multi-billionaire?
05:25Well, my problem with billionaires is more so
05:28that there's limited wealth in the world and in the country.
05:32So as billionaires keep getting more money,
05:35people are going to suffer at the bottom.
05:36So it's never a good thing regardless.
