00:00I heard this season was so secretive that half the cast doesn't know the ending.
00:04Are you the half that knows or doesn't know?
00:07We know enough, but you know, I think we wanted to just make sure that everything was very buttoned up
00:12and I think that, you know, it's been a little bit of time and so I think that, you know,
00:17some things happen to leak occasionally, you know, so I think that they just wanted to make sure
00:21that we put the best product forward and now we're at the end and so I think now the cat will be out of the bag.
00:27So, you know, November 10th is right around the corner.
00:30What was it like kind of filming everything? So, hush, hush, did you have any theories going into it?
00:35You know, you just trust Taylor and what he's been doing and, you know, of course, it's always a little bit more challenging,
00:41but I think that the cast works very close together, but it definitely made for a unique experience,
00:47so I think you kind of dive a little bit more into your emotional state when you're coming
00:51and I think, ultimately, I think the product is a little bit interesting because we're really living in those moments,
00:57you know, because oftentimes you don't know the full scope of anything as you would before
01:00when you get a full script, you can kind of plan ahead, whereas this one you're really kind of living
01:04moment to moment or scene for scene, which I think might make for a really interesting product, yeah.
01:08And how do we feel about the ending? Does it feel too early? Are we ready for it to end or do we still want more?
01:15Well, I think everything good ends, but I don't know with this show that we ever really wanted it to end,
01:21but, you know, you just have to accept the process and, you know, there's so many changes and, you know,
01:25with Paramount and what Taylor has done for all of us, I think it's really catapulted a lot of us
01:30into different atmospheres and things like that, so it'll be exciting to explore other opportunities,
01:35but, you know, nonetheless, we have the most loyal fans and, you know, Paramount has been really,
01:38really good for us and so we're really happy about what we're putting out there.
01:42Another big talking point was, of course, Kevin Costner's absence in this half.
01:46How do you think the audience will react or feel about John Dutton's fate?
01:50Well, you know, this is, you know, Kevin's a vet, right? So you don't just, like, replace one,
01:55but I think that because of what Taylor has created in this world, it's really just kind of a next man up,
02:00you know, and I think the characters are very, very strong and, of course, you have the Kelly
02:04Riley's and the Kohlhauser's and, you know, the Luke's of the world that have really been able to
02:09kind of step their game up in a different realm as well and then hopefully for all of us to be able
02:13to help undergird that, but, you know, it is what it is. I mean, this is entertainment, you guys know
02:17what it is. There's a lot of moving pieces, but, you know, we're just happy that we made it this far
02:22because for a little bit there, we didn't know that we were going to be sitting here doing this,
02:26so this is a blessing nonetheless, yeah.
02:28And finally, some people have called Yellowstone a red state show, something that Taylor Sheridan
02:33disagreed with, so how do you think that this show bridges the gap when we're in the midst of such a
02:38political divide right now?
02:40Yeah, that's a great question. I mean, I think in the beginning, you know, we didn't, I think we
02:44wanted something that was just really focused on naturalness, right, so it's about being in the
02:49field and on the cattle and that, and usually that really lends itself to more middle America,
02:53but, you know, there's a lot of equestrianist, you know, things that are happening on the coast,
02:56and I think that as we got into season two, you know, New York and California, they really, really
03:01wrapped their arms around it because I think it's a universal story. I don't think that it really
03:05lends itself to red or blue. I think it's just humans living in a human behavior. You know,
03:10of course, it's a heightened behavior, obviously, but I don't know that it's something that it's
03:15like, oh, the people that are watching it are for us, that we're leaning on one side. I think that
03:19we just wanted to be a part of something great and unique, and I think that we were able to
03:22accomplish that on this, what, since 2017, so it's really, really exciting, yeah.
03:27Finally, team Beth or team Jamie?
03:31Well, I love, Wes Bentley's great, you know, but I think that when you learned what the past was
03:36with Beth, I think you understand why she had such animosity for Jamie, so I guess if there's a
03:43mic to my face, I guess I'll just say team Beth, but don't tell Wes that though.
03:49Yeah, we'll keep it a secret.
