What will be the future of Venom in theaters? The Symbiote's fate can be defined by... the MCU!
This entire post contains spoilers for Venom: The Last Round. So, go ahead only if you have already watched the film. Or if you don't mind reading these spoilers.
Well, the last film in the trilogy with Tom Hardy lived up to its promise. Since the film actually ends by confirming that Venom IS DEAD. Thanks to a heroic sacrifice by the Symbiote to stop the Xenophages.
Leaving Eddie Brock alone on his trip to New York, finally being able to live a normal life away from the Lethal Protector days. But here's something interesting that could be decisive for the future of these characters.
After all, a symbiotic fragment of Venom himself IS STILL AT LEAST ON EARTH-616 IN THE MCU. This fragment was left behind after Eddie/Venom were transported back to their realities. As we saw in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
So this could be the perfect excuse to bring Venom back. Even more so if they use the collective mind artifice that the symbiotes have in the comics.
Which could establish that, somehow, Sony's Venom's mind ended up in that Symbiote fragment from Earth-616. Or a new entity generated from the original.
Either way, it's not hard to bring Venom back!
