00:00So let's talk about some angles here because you've got some teams where you probably should
00:06look at them and say, hey, they're really good at at hitting the over.
00:10They're really good at hitting the under.
00:11So let's start with the guys or the teams, more importantly, that help you cover the
00:16over.
00:17Can we get the graphic up here, guys?
00:18And Sportsbook King, you got to let me know, how do you start gauging something like this
00:21moving forward?
00:22Because hockey is a tough sport sometimes to really just stay on top of because it can
00:26go any which direction?
00:28I love betting the totals in hockey because, you know, you get a bad call or a power play
00:35late or something and it can swing the decision.
00:38But the way the game is played, I think, and I've known this just from, you know, being
00:44in the book for so many years, the guys that are really good at this play the totals.
00:48And you look at that over thing and you go, all right, is that because they're scoring
00:54or because they're giving them up?
00:57And like on that list right there, it's a little bit of both.
01:00So you can find teams to play against through the totals and you can find teams to play
01:06on through the totals.
01:08Now the overs mean one thing.
01:10And I mean, obviously, the Avalanche, the Knights and the Panthers are near the top
01:14of the list in teams to win the Stanley Cup.
01:17Now look at the under list case and you go, all right, who's shaping up here as a really
01:24good defensive team or an underperforming overall team?
01:29Like why are the Ducks and the Sharks and the Flames on this list?
01:35So I think you start to look at things a little bit differently when you look at it through
01:39the lens at a gamble.
01:41Yes.
01:42And that's such a good point.
01:43Some of those teams are very surprising in a sense.
01:45I mean, to see the Dallas Stars on there, then the defense that they previously, I mean,
01:50I know that they lost some key pieces, especially Chris Tanneff, who's now with Toronto.
01:54That was a guy who just made a number of shutdown plays wholeheartedly by himself.
01:57And you lose a piece like that and then some pucks start to get past the rest of the defense
02:01there and putting Odinger to the test.
02:03But what's been the most surprising team in that best overs category?
02:07Because like you said, some of these teams have been in the Stanley Cup conversation.
02:11People threw their money on in the beginning of the year wholeheartedly and confidently.
02:14You got the Colorado Avalanche, Vegas Golden Knights playing quite well, letting up some
02:17goals in the second period.
02:19They're charging back in the third period.
02:21Florida Panthers just seem to be remaining in rare form.
02:24Columbus Blue Jackets are probably my biggest surprise this season.
02:27And then the New York Islanders, I mean, I don't really know where to start with them.
02:30So who's been your biggest surprise?
02:31Well, when I saw this list and I sent it to the boys to put the graphic together, the
02:37two teams at the bottom of that list surprised me the most.
02:39I mean, Columbus just with everything with Johnny Gaudreau and just I don't even know
02:44how they started the season.
02:45And that was one of those like moments in time that the opening game and everything
02:50that they did.
02:51And then you got to just go play like you got to go take your shift and play hockey
02:56games.
02:57Them being on there.
02:58And then the Islanders were always historically, at least recent history, an under-team.
03:03And they're on the over-team list.
03:05So you kind of got to go, OK, why?
03:08Well, it's because they're giving up goals.
03:11So it's not because they're scoring, they're giving them up.
03:14And those would be the two biggest surprises.
03:17The three at the top fully expected it to be that way.
03:20I mean, Florida's power play really good.
03:22Colorado at home, they just score goals.
03:26And then the Knights, they don't score goals early.
03:31They're like a go against in the first period a lot of times, but they score goals late,
03:34right?
03:35Like second, third period.
03:36You mentioned it earlier.
03:37I don't know what it is.
03:38They turn it on and just go.
