00:00Tropical Storm Nika hit the Philippine area of responsibility.

00:07Due to the storm, the Philippine Coast Guard suspended all travel to and from Catanduanes.

00:13This is one of the areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.

00:18The southern portion of Isabela, northern portion of Aurora,

00:22southeastern portion of mainland Quezon, Polilio Islands,

00:26Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, and northeastern portion of Albay.

00:31The last time the storm hit was 1,005 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon.

00:36It was strong at 65 kilometers per hour near the center

00:40and strong up to 80 kilometers per hour.

00:44It was moving westward at a speed of 35 kilometers per hour.

00:48According to the forecast, the storm Nika is possible to landfall

00:51in the afternoon or evening of Monday in Isabela or Aurora,

00:55where it is also possible to landfall as a severe tropical storm.

00:59According to the forecast, from Monday afternoon to Tuesday afternoon,

01:03it is expected to have intense to torrential rains

01:08in Cagayan, Apayao, and Isabela.

01:11It is also expected to have severe flooding and landslides.

01:17The low-pressure area outside the P.A.R. is also being monitored.

01:21It is possible that it will be a storm within one or two days.

01:26According to the rainfall forecast of Metro Weather,

01:28it is expected to have light to heavy rains in the eastern section of Luzon tomorrow.

01:32It is also expected to have heavy rains in Visayas and Mindanao,
