00:00I'm outside the LNER Community Stadium where Hartlepool United have been beaten for the first time under Lenny Lawrence, losing 5-3 to National League leaders.
00:09York, in truth, 5-3 was perhaps a little bit of a harsh scoreline on Pools, who at times gave as good as they got and at one stage with a score at 2-1 looked like getting back into the game.
00:19In truth, Pools perhaps let themselves down somewhat in both boxes. They missed a couple of presentable chances, particularly when the score was at 2-1.
00:28And I think defensively they'll probably have been disappointed with just about all the goals they've conceded.
00:33York raced into a two-goal lead in the first half through informed striker Onley Pearce and the impressive Alex Hunt, whose free kick deflected off the inside of the post and in to make it 2-0 just before half-time.
00:44David Ferguson pulled one back five minutes into the second half against his former side and Pools really pressed for an equaliser until substitute athlete Ashley Nathaniel George scored a third.
00:55And that rather knocked the stuffing out of Pools, who scored a couple of late consolations through Luke Charman and Manny Disirue, but fell to defeat for the first time in five league games.
