Marcos to chase 'big guns' in illegal drug trade

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will be chasing the 'big guns' of the illegal drug trade in the country, Local Government Secretary Juanito Victor Remulla said on Nov. 12, 2024. Remulla said a new strategy, which would focus on the supply side, was discussed during a meeting with the President in Malacañang. He also said that the personalities involved in the drug trade within the Muntinlupa jail have been identified and are being investigated.

Marcos, Jr. met with key officials of the Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Justice, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Philippine National Police to strengthen collaboration among the PDEA, PNP, and the NBI in the fight against illegal drugs.
00:29Meanwhile, the composite team of the DILG, Departments of National Defense, Social Welfare and Development, Public Works and Highways, and the Office of Civil Defense in Regions 1, 2, and Cordillera Autonomous Region met this morning to assess the impact of severe tropical storm Nika in the affected provinces.
00:50To give us updates on the two very important meetings we have with us today, Interior and Local Government Secretary John Vick Ramunia. Good afternoon sir, welcome, and maybe we can begin with the important meeting yesterday.
