00:00What kind of burn do we expect Embiid to get tonight in Pharrell Adelphi against the Knicks in his debut?
00:07I mean, I wouldn't go more than about 25 minutes, but it's interesting to see how you play him, Pharrell, in regards to, you know, it is, us, I would say, mature guys, right?
00:18You play, you don't like sitting on that bench that long because you start to stiffen up.
00:22So maybe they play Embiid longer stretches, maybe the first 9-10 minutes of the first quarter, and then break him for a lot of the second, and then do the same thing with the third, and see what you get out of the fourth here.
00:34I think it's a big matchup tonight against a Knicks team that, let's be honest, they're up and down, and I don't want to buy this EFPN junk about Karl-Anthony Towns, not the front of your face.
00:44I'd watch this guy defend. I mean, he's not Mitchell Robinson, but he's at least trying.
00:50Big game tonight. I actually do like the Knicks on the money line. I think they get it done because of the fact of, you know, Maxey, who the Knicks struggle to defend guards, and they got to figure out this Paul George, obviously, Embiid situation of how they share the ball in the minutes.
01:07So, let's talk about your other plays here that you like tonight in the NBA Cup with the acid floors.
01:13I think the courts are really cool for this NBA Cup, and I know people are making fun of it and saying this is a gimmick, the NBA Cup, this in-season tournament, but I love basketball, so I love it. I don't really care what anyone thinks of it.
01:31Oh, I love it too, Pharrell. They do it a lot in the European leagues. They do it in the soccer leagues. Yeah, I like these in-season tournaments because I think it gets people off the job knowing what's going on, and I think the reason why you have the courts the way they do, Pharrell, is simply put, you know, when you see those funky courts, you know exactly what kind of game it is.
01:53So, I think it's going to be big. One play I like tonight, I like the Miami Heat on the money line. Now, listen, I know they've lost three in the last four, but if there's a team, remember, they have an eight-point winner already versus Detroit. If there's a team that's going to take this seriously, it's Spok. And I do like the Miami Heat on the money line tonight at Motor City.
02:14And you got the Suns going, no KD, he's got the calf problem again.
02:21Yes, he has that problem again, and I'm going to go with the Suns minus a point. Listen, they're going absolutely nowhere in Utah, right? And even the game that the Suns lost first time out without KD was an overtime loss to Sacramento. There's no shame in that. I do like that.
02:38Also, quickly, I like Kyrie over three-and-a-half rebounds. Hit it in the last four games. Here's the key. What does Golden State do? They shoot a ton of threes. What does that mean? You know it, Pharrell. Long shots, long rebounds. Guards get rebounds.
02:52Lastly, Yusef Nurik is over 12-and-a-half points plus assists. He's going to have to uptick his scoring a little bit. And Pharrell, you notice, he's a really underrated passer. They may use him at that pinch post because he's got to create opportunities for his teammates.
