00:00Well, as was the comment of the Executive Secretary, the former Chief Justice,
00:08if that's what PRRD wants, we won't be hindered by the ICC.
00:16We won't just help.
00:18But if he agrees to talk or investigate the ICC, that's up to him.
00:26We have no decision on that.
00:30Alright.
00:31Sir, with all the admissions, don't you think that DOJ should also initiate a re-investigation
00:39of drug-related murders during the previous administration as well?
00:44Well, right now, that is being done by the PNP.
00:48And so we are waiting for their findings.
00:53But all of the testimony that was given yesterday
01:01will be taken in and will be assessed to see in legal terms
01:09what is the real meaning and consequence of some of the statements made by PRRD.
01:17Now, that will result in a case being filed here in the Philippines.
01:22We will just have to see.
01:23The DOJ will have to make that assessment.
01:26Have you made instructions to the DOJ or to the PNP?
01:29I'm sorry?
01:30Have you made express instructions to the DOJ or to the PNP to conduct these investigations?
01:35Well, we are always monitoring all of these things
01:40because the question on EJK has not yet been answered.
01:45Who is responsible?
01:48We had some of the mothers of some of the victims that were there.
01:53And up to now, they have not seen the justice for the murders of their children.
02:00That is the DOJ's responsibility to continue to examine all bits of comments,
02:12of statements, of testimony, and eventually of evidence
02:16that justifies a case to be filed.
02:19Sir, after you signed the two new passes, the maritime and the international,
02:25the Philippine Embassy in China reported to you that you are marching for the Philippines.
02:31Yes.
02:32Nothing.
02:33They objected.
02:34They said that we do not agree
02:37and that they will continue to protect what they define as their sovereign territory.
02:46Of course, we do not agree with their definition of sovereign territory.
02:50So, nothing has changed because our situation is still the same.
02:55Our position is still the same.
02:57Sir, you have always felt that you do not know the jurisdiction of the ICC.
03:03You will not cooperate with them in any way, shape, or form.
03:06But ES's statement, the net effect of that is that we will ultimately cooperate with the ICC,
03:14especially if they pass the Interpol.
03:16Is that a change of position?
03:18No, no, no, no, no.
03:19You have misread it.
03:20We do not cooperate with the ICC.
03:23That is the position of this government.
03:25But if the Interpol notices, we will be obliged to participate.
03:31As Secretary Remula explained before, we have obligations to Interpol.
03:39We have to live up to those obligations.
03:42And therefore, the net effect is the same.
03:44We'll see.
03:45We'll see how far it goes.
03:48We'll see what the ICC does.
