Transcript
00:00The big opportunity to secure Glastonbury tickets will be on Sunday at 9am when the
00:06sale of standard tickets begins.
00:09This follows Glastonbury's recent overhaul of its booking system designed to address
00:13concerns over ticketing fairness.
00:16The changes come in wake of widespread criticism of online ticket sales, particularly the use
00:21of dynamic pricing and resale by touts.
00:25The issue gained renewed attention in September after Oasis tickets sold out amid price surges,
00:32prompting government and competition authorities to investigate the practice.
00:38In an effort to combat touting, Glastonbury requires customers to register in advance
00:43before purchasing tickets.
00:46The 2025 event will take place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from 25th to 29th June.
00:54Tickets for 2025 are priced at £373.50 plus a £5 booking fee, an increase of £18.40
01:03compared to the 2024 price of £355 plus booking fee.
01:10Last year, coach tickets sold out in 25 minutes while standard tickets were gone within an
01:15hour.
01:16Festival organiser Emily Eavis has previously announced that 2026 will be a fallow year
01:21for Glastonbury, allowing the land to recover.
01:25However, she has already begun discussions with potential headliners for the year afterwards.
