Watch Callum order the UK's most expensive cookie, for an eye-watering price, which he felt was raw and tasted like sand - saying he prefers Tesco cookies.
Transcript
00:00I bought the most expensive cookie in the UK and you will not believe how much it cost.
00:04This is the famous Cedric Roulet's bakery based inside the Berkeley in Knightsbridge.
00:08As you can see the atmosphere is beautiful and it's the perfect spot for a bit of a sweet treat.
00:11So whilst I was there I ordered one of the famous cookies and a glass of tap water because there's
00:14no way I'm paying £12 just for a freshly squeezed orange juice. I can't wait for you to see how much
00:19I paid for this cookie. Anyway, now it's time for the actual important part, it's time to try it.
00:22The cookie was actually freshly baked which actually set my expectations pretty high because
00:26but for the price I paid it almost tasted like it had sand in it. The texture was just off and
00:31sort of tasted a bit raw, it didn't even taste like it was cooked at all. Don't get me wrong,
00:34the atmosphere and presentation was a pleasant experience but I wouldn't say it's any better
00:38than the cookies I get from Tesco. But wait till you hear about the cost, £26.45. Honestly,
00:43I couldn't even eat the whole cookie, I had to send it away to be put into a takeaway box so
00:47that my girlfriend could give it a try when we got home. If I'm being completely honest with you,
00:50it would be a nice one-off experience to go in there and get a coffee or a hot chocolate or
00:53something but I'd definitely stick to your local bakery for your regular sweet treats. So guys,
00:57let me know in the comments if you have any other crazy food items you'd like me to try.
