00:14Christmas is here. Let's start budgeting for Noche Buena.

00:19That's why the Department of Trade and Industry or DTI has released a price guide

00:25such as jamon, queso de bola, fruit cocktail, all-purpose cream, pasta or spaghetti, macaroni, tomato sauce, and more.

00:34The bad news is that of the more than 200 Noche Buena items on the market,

00:38half of them have gone up in price compared to last year based on DTI's monitoring.

00:45There's nothing I can do. Every Christmas, I expect the price to go up.

00:50Make do. Make do with what you can afford.

00:53That's how you reduce items, reduce the amount you cook.

00:58But not all of them went up in price.

01:00You have no choice. All brands went up at the same time, right?

01:04You have a choice because there are brands that didn't go up.

01:07For example, in Christmas ham, 18 brands, classes, and weights of ham went up in price.

01:13But it still has a price of P18 last year.

01:17Queso de bola, whatever class or weight, the price didn't change.

01:21The brands of spaghetti and macaroni also went down in price.

01:25The price guide is effective until the end of the year.

01:29Aside from Noche Buena, prepare your pocket money for tolls.

01:35Starting tomorrow, Subiclark-Tarlac Expressway-Oesitex will implement the second increase in tolls.

01:4364 centavos up to almost 2 pesos per kilometer will be added depending on the type of vehicle.

01:50On Wednesday, November 20, Montinlupa-Cavite Expressway or MCX will implement an increase in tolls.

01:58These adjustments will be implemented first by the government before it is allowed to collect new toll fees.

02:09These adjustments will be implemented for the benefit of the motorist users by way of good service and proper operations and maintenance of our expressways.
