Thousands of specialised LED lights have been used to transform a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban into a light show on wheels. TJ Dickenson, of Titusville, Florida, is behind the pimped-out truck, which he refers to as the ‘Boom X’. It features custom LED lights that respond differently to bass, mids, and treble – creating a fully unique light show. 01:11There's a couple thousand LEDs in this truck.
01:13Alright, what we got going on here is we have the LEDs in the steering wheel all built in,
01:20custom made steering wheel.
01:21We also have the LEDs on the seats, chased all through the whole thing.
01:26We also have a custom made headliner that also has LEDs chasing through simultaneously.
01:31And then we have the custom, the iPad here that does all my music.
01:38I have a processor, I don't even have a radio, I have a processor that does high resolution
01:43bluetoothing.
01:45One of my main features to where I haven't seen done to this magnitude is where we cut
01:51the fenders completely off, we stretched them, we raised them, and we welded them back on
01:57there.
01:58When I first bought it, it was stock, I probably took it to 100, but now I don't take it over
02:0475 on the highway, just because of the tires.
02:09These speakers are actually so big and heavy, this door probably weighs about at least 300
02:15pounds.
02:16Basically this whole entire setup is set for a super clean look and a great sound obviously.
02:26There's actually tweeters behind each one of these tins that protrude through these
02:31speakers.
02:32It's extremely loud, but more importantly as being loud, it's crystal clear like a symphony.
02:54I've had the truck almost two years now.
02:56Mainly took the longest was the customization of the fenders and the paint, because it took
03:02six months to do that, and then everything else came in stages of course.
03:08Somebody offered me $65 for it, no I take that back, he said $70, and I was like, I'll
03:16think about it and I'll call you back, you know, and I just couldn't do it.
03:20If somebody says, here, here's $100,000 for your truck, I would have to think about it.
03:26I go to shows, we want to go cruising on the weekend, or I just need some bass in my
03:32life, I'll just go for a drive whenever and just turn the stereo up as loud as I can and
03:38just enjoy the music.
