00:00I'm talking about going down there and having some fun maybe maybe with someone special.
00:05Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the most
00:10unlearning ladies from the collective DC universe.
00:14You want to go a few rounds with me?
00:17I am talking about sparring.
00:20Number 20 Miss Martian.
00:22Martian Manhunter isn't the only green skin good guy in DC.
00:30The white Martian name again, Morse, goes by numerous other monikers,
00:34from the Earth name of Megan Morse to her official DC moniker of Miss Martian.
00:39She's a somewhat obscure character who's nevertheless appeared in other media,
00:44specifically the Supergirl franchise.
00:46This is fitting since Morse's origins basically stem from creator Jeff
00:50Johns being denied permission to use Supergirl in a story.
00:54Speaking of which, fit is a useful word when describing Miss Martian,
00:58both concerning her physical beauty as well as her keen fashion sense.
01:02There's just no other way to say it.
01:04We'd love to explore strange new worlds with this Martian.
01:08Together.
01:13Get out of my head!
01:16Number 19 Stargirl.
01:18Jeff Johns has created several popular DC characters over the years,
01:21but he brought up personal attention to detail when it came to Courtney Whitmore, aka Stargirl.
01:27Eat my sparkles, turtle!
01:29Johns designed this superhero in tribute to his sister,
01:31who died tragically young on board the doomed TWA Flight 800.
01:36This nobility and bravery translates to the character of Stargirl,
01:40a plucky and winsome young woman who takes on the mantle and responsibility
01:44of being a starman from fellow superhero Jack Knight.
01:47Stargirl's inner beauty shines through in her selflessness and desire to help others,
01:51and this certainly goes a long way when it comes to being naturally confident and attractive.
01:56For the record, I don't have powers, potty mouth. It's the staff.
02:00Number 18 Lois Lane.
02:02Who told you to wear a tie?
02:04They say that a classic never goes out of style,
02:06and this definitely applies to the legendary Lois Lane.
02:09This intrepid reporter may be an icon from the love,
02:13interest, and peril stereotype from back in the day,
02:16but this does little to damage Lois Lane's longevity.
02:19Her self-assuredness and determination to get a story
02:22linger into Lane's independence from Superman.
02:25Indeed, it's probably one of the things that attracted Clark Kent to Lois in the first place.
02:30Well, that and her killer legs.
02:33This list, by design, is going to be fairly focused upon characters being alluring and sexy,
02:39but it's also important not to lose sight of how characters like Lois Lane
02:43are interesting people first and dream girl second.
02:46I've ripped enough blazers running after stories that I'm always prepared.
02:50Number 17 Huntress.
02:52Many women have adopted the mantle of Huntress over the years,
02:55with the character's popularity enduring to the modern day.
03:03Where are we going?
03:04Don't ask so many questions.
03:06Helena Wayne is an alternate version of the character,
03:09a child of Catwoman and Batman that embodies
03:11some of the best physical attributes of both DC legends.
03:15A separate Huntress, Helena Bertinelli, doesn't hold the same Wayne parentage,
03:19but retains similar physical charms.
03:21It's essentially a Sophie's Choice between these two Huntresses,
03:24since we love how both balance physical capability with outfits
03:28that enhance the character's formidable strength.
03:31What can we say?
03:32We like to be dominated.
03:33Which leaves the rest of our evening tantalizingly free.
03:36There are three terabytes of data here.
03:38I'll be busy for days.
03:42Oh, dinner and a movie?
03:46It's a start.
03:47Number 16 Hawkgirl.
03:49It's a long and established comic book trope to gender swap a popular superhero,
03:53in the hopes of gaining readership from the opposite sex.
04:08This thankfully doesn't damage Hawkgirl as a character, however,
04:11since nobody this tough is going to shy away into the backroom wallpaper.
04:15Hawkgirl is another character with a long and storied history,
04:19a warrior with genetically engineered wings that enable her to soar the skies.
04:23She's sometimes analogous to Hawkwoman,
04:26while the Kendra Saunders iteration leans into the character's
04:29Doctor Who-esque reputation for death and regeneration slash reincarnation.
04:33Hawkgirl is cool as hell in any timeline,
04:36and we love following her adventures.
04:39Where are you gonna go?
04:40I don't know.
04:42Someplace where the fate of the world isn't in my hands.
04:45Someplace where there are no more secrets, no more lies.
04:49Number 15 Mary Marvel.
04:51It seems as if the word Marvel will always surround characters
04:54from both of the big two comic book companies, but we're not complaining.
04:58But I had the power or, you know, a third of the power anyway of...
05:02Well, I can't actually say it myself.
05:06Not when we have this compatriot of Shazam, Mary Marvel, on our side.
05:10This member of Shazam's extended family dates back to the 40s-era Fawcett Comics
05:15and features a design that's seen little tinkering over the years.
05:18Mary Marvel is usually depicted with the same bright red color palette
05:22as her old-school canonical brother.
05:24Only Shazam's skin-tight suit is replaced by a short skirt.
05:28The yellow gold boots tie together the ensemble,
05:31which is essentially a keenly retro depiction of feminine glamour,
05:34tied together by Mary Marvel's absolutely gorgeous smile.
05:38Are you okay, Batman?
05:40Number 14 Knockout.
05:41The 90s era of comics is, depending on who you ask,
05:45one of the best or worst decades for the medium.
05:47I haven't worn this since I escaped from Apocalypse.
05:50What do you think?
05:52Too Wonder Woman?
05:53We tend to fall into the former camp thanks to characters like Knockout.
05:57This red-headed badass may sport a mask,
05:59but there's no denying the physical charms of this female fury.
06:03Knockout is usually a villain or antihero,
06:05the latter usually as a member of the Secret Six.
06:08She's also notable for being polyamorous with another member of the Six, Scandal.
06:13And, um, a stripper.
06:15We're not here to judge, but rather just to admire
06:18how Knockout kicks butt, takes names, and steals hearts.
06:27Number 13 Killer Frost.
06:29Cold as ice, but hot to the touch.
06:31That's how we prefer to fantasize about Killer Frost.
06:34It doesn't matter if we're talking about Louise Lincoln,
06:37Crystal Frost, or Caitlin Snow.
06:39There's something alluring about the look-but-don't-touch nature of this dangerous villain.
06:51Killer Frost isn't above making the most of her feminine wows
06:54if it means that she's able to get the job done.
06:57That said, her powerful abilities as a manipulator of heat energy
07:01definitely earn our respect.
07:03We're fine just admiring from afar how Killer Frost's devilish smile
07:06and we're going to go with hot body here just for the sake of puns.
07:10Get our temperatures racing.
07:13I'm listening.
07:14Number 12 Supergirl.
07:16Never underestimate the power of a miniskirt.
07:18Or at least when it comes to Helen Slater's portrayal of Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl in 1984.
07:24If we're being honest, however, every artist's depiction of Supergirl looks great.
07:28Because the character is great.
07:37It would have been very easy to simply present Kara as a reductive Superman clone,
07:41but her personality shines through in her own right.
07:44This allows the creative freedom behind Supergirl's attire, beskirted or not,
07:48to work hand-in-hand with the admirably heroic traits within her heart.
07:52Sure, Supergirl is sexy as hell,
07:54but she's also a formidable role model that earns our total respect.
07:58I was stopping bad guys.
08:00That's what we do, right?
08:01Stop them, not scramble them.
08:04Don't lecture me, Cal.
08:05I'm still older than you.
08:06Number 11 Barbara Gordon
08:08Viewers of a certain age will probably remember how actress Yvonne Craig brought her generational
08:13beauty and dance training into the role of Barbara Gordon on the 60s Batman TV show.
08:18As long as you're holding class as Penguin, perhaps you'd include Batgirl too.
08:22Craig's performance was never forgotten,
08:24and her grace worked hand-in-hand with Gordon's memorable history with DC Comics.
08:28It doesn't really matter whether she's working as Batgirl or Oracle.
08:32This daughter of Commissioner Gordon is determined to stand on her own,
08:36away from the shadows of her father and Batman.
08:38Intelligence, after all, is totally sexy,
08:41and Barbara Gordon can always be relied upon in a time of crisis.
08:51Number 10 Black Canary
08:52The human mind can be a complex thing when it comes to attraction.
08:56Sometimes we can be disarmed by another's beauty,
08:59or be swept off our feet in terms of idealized romantic love.
09:03My heart bleeds.
09:06Black Canary.
09:07Green Arrow, I've noticed you around.
09:10I know.
09:11Other times, though, our animal instincts creep in, and we're consumed by lust.
09:16This, in a nutshell, describes Black Canary,
09:19a DC Comics character that always seems to exude sex, like some sort of pharaoh pheromone.
09:25The form-fitting outfit, complete with fishnet stockings,
09:29asserts how Black Canary is comfortable with her body,
09:31while her strengths as a superhero keep at arm's length any creeps that might get too close.
09:37This canary is also confident and cocky, however.
09:40We don't for a minute dream of line-stepping DC's resident bad girl.
09:50Number 9 Talia Al Ghul
09:52This is a DC comic book character with legs, in both the literal and figurative senses.
09:57Talia Al Ghul's physical charms are undeniable,
10:01and she's often had a seductive relationship with Bruce Wayne and Batman.
10:05I know you loved her, but I cannot believe you did not save a picture of me as well.
10:10This villainess also remains an ever-present threat within the comics, however,
10:14proving that Talia was no flash in the pan.
10:16The fact that her strengths remain in the everyday real world
10:20also proves how formidable she is as a character.
10:22Talia Al Ghul possesses brains and beauty,
10:26never relying on gimmicks or superpowers to prove her worth in the DC universe.
10:30It made you romantic.
10:31It made me do what you wanted.
10:34Was it all bad, beloved?
10:36Number 8 Raven
10:37There's something to be said about the enduring popularity of Raven as a DC Comics character.
10:42Her origins date all the way back to 1980,
10:45yet Raven's ability to adapt and progress with the times has led to a loyal fan base.
10:51I'm not creepy, I'm just different.
10:54And what's not to like?
10:56Her supernatural origins make her mysterious,
10:58while her fashion sense ties into cool goth subculture tropes successfully.
11:03Raven is, for lack of a better word, cool.
11:06She's also beautiful and in touch with her emotions, literally,
11:09because being an empath is a huge part of her powers.
11:13Meanwhile, Raven's uniquely quirky personality
11:16makes her utterly charming to anyone lucky enough to cross her path.
11:19A lock of hair from a beautiful girl.
11:23Beautiful.
11:23Number 7 Power Girl
11:25Supergirl isn't the only Kara Zor-El out there in the DC universe.
11:29There's also Power Girl,
11:31an alternate universe iteration of the character with a couple of notable differences.
11:36Mr. President, can I talk to you?
11:38It's really important.
11:39Artist Wally Wood definitely utilizes his history working with more adult-oriented comics
11:44when it came to designing Power Girl.
11:46The size of her bust is frankly ridiculous,
11:49a grand example of old-school exploitation at its finest.
11:52Meanwhile, the peekaboo window of Power Girl's leotard
11:56actually draws attention to this fact,
11:58likely making it difficult for anyone with a pulse to maintain eye contact with the superhero.
12:03Does this detract or undermine Power Girl's effectiveness as a hero?
12:07We don't think so, although it remains a definite point of conversation.
12:11I'm close enough right here, and he's not really that much of a boy, you know?
12:15He's 13.
12:16Number 6 Starfire
12:17There's a discussion to be had when it comes to the evolution of costumes
12:21and superhero gear over the years.
12:22The male gaze likely had a huge influence over the desire to depict Starfire
12:27in a space bikini back in her 1980s heyday.
12:32I did not see that coming.
12:38I am Coriander of Tamarin.
12:41Our kind can learn language from the act of kissing.
12:45Useful.
12:45That said, we don't think for a minute that the comparatively
12:49more modest and practical applications of Starfire's outfits diminish her appeal or beauty.
12:54Modern day renderings of this interstellar hero instead allow Starfire's radiant appeal
12:59to shine through beyond revealing outfits or prurient pandering.
13:02Instead, her contemporary legacy balances this character
13:05in a way that makes Starfire feel timeless.
13:08So you've told me.
13:10Speaking of fun, the old room looks great.
13:14You know, Corey, you and I could just...
13:17Fun!
13:18What?
13:18That's it!
13:19That's what we need!
13:20What who needs?
13:22Oh, you're so smart.
13:23Thanks, Dick.
13:24Number 5 Zatanna
13:25It's an old school era of vintage illusionists and magicians
13:29that helps bolster the enduring allure of one's Zatanna Zatara.
13:33You were assuming they were real, weren't you?
13:35I was.
13:36How are you, Bruce?
13:44The updated mixture of mesh tights and leather boots,
13:47combined with the classically cool top hat and tails, makes Zatanna impossible to resist.
13:52Meanwhile, the character's confidence as a performer,
13:55both on and off the stage, makes it easy for us to believe that Zatanna
13:59just seems to know what kind of outfits work the proper magic.
14:03Zatara doesn't need to pull a rabbit out of her hat for us to fall in love.
14:07She can work her spell on us any day of the week.
14:10You're not as furry, but you're just as cute.
14:12Number 4 Harley Quinn
14:14It's pretty wild to research the meteoric rise of Harley Quinn
14:17as one of DC's most popular characters.
14:20Say hello to your new improved Harley Quinn!
14:24This goes double for the fact that she was created for Batman The Animated Series,
14:28as opposed to debuting within the pages of a comic book.
14:31Harley has captured the imaginations of millions since that debut, however,
14:35a total wildcard that's impossible to resist and impossible to tame.
14:39This is juxtaposed against her eternal orbit with the Joker,
14:43since she's usually either depicted as tethered to his side or free from his control.
14:47This push and pull narrative makes Harley Quinn compelling,
14:50while her manic charm dares anyone and everyone to try their luck at love.
14:55Yay!
14:55For Ivy!
14:56Still yay!
14:57And then we never want to see you again, alright?
14:59Less yay, but more yay than I had this morning!
15:02Number 3 Poison Ivy
15:03Good kitty.
15:05How would you say it?
15:07Perfect.
15:09Say it for me, kitty.
15:11Say perfect.
15:14There have been a lot of femme fatales within the Batman universe.
15:17This sort of makes sense too, since this archetype is a constant when it comes to
15:22the hard-boiled detective stories and femme noirs that make up the Caped Crusader's DNA.
15:27Poison Ivy stands among the very elite of this standard,
15:30a leggy seductress that can make anybody fall to their knees in worship.
15:34Granted, Ivy's ability to utilize pheromones to alter the mind helps in this regard,
15:39but one look at her is enough for us to know that we need little prodding.
15:44The red hair, the stunning figure,
15:46and that dazzling one-piece outfit pretty much leave us speechless every time.
15:50No, no, I mean, I like Takashi's hand rolls as much as the next gal,
15:54but don't you think it's time to kind of like wrap this party up?
15:57You know, it's been three weeks since you took down Joker.
15:59There's no Legion of Doom, no Batman.
16:01Gotham is yours for the taking.
16:03Number two, Wonder Woman.
16:04The design of DC Comics' resident and reigning queen
16:08has changed very little since her debut back in the 1940s.
16:17Dark hair and strong features are a constant of Wonder Woman,
16:20as is a red, white, and blue color scheme.
16:23It was actress Linda Carter's generational beauty
16:26that helped solidify the Wonder Woman look for the 1970s.
16:29This look became somewhat synonymous with the character,
16:32a statuesque vision of femininity combined with strength and grace under pressure.
16:37Wonder Woman feels almost unapproachable in this regard,
16:40an idealized beauty for the ages.
16:43Meanwhile, her boots, bracers, and lasso
16:46deviously tie into the character's BDSM origins
16:49with regards to her creator William Moulton Marston,
16:51his wife Elizabeth, and their polyamorous partner Olive Byrne.
16:55Of course, that's not the only important thing.

17:20Number one, Catwoman.
17:21Well, I'd like to think our relationship isn't just restricted
17:24to saving each other from freaks and weirdos,
17:27and that maybe we'd have a place for each other without Gotham,
17:30without the freaks, maybe without masks.
17:35It takes a lot of athletic skill to be a cat burglar,
17:38but only one DC Comics character does this job with the sex appeal of Selina Kyle.
17:43Maybe it's the skin-tight costume, leather or otherwise,
17:47or perhaps it's Kyle's moral ambiguity,
17:49but Catwoman is difficult to resist.
17:52Her conflicting alliances and vacillation between hero and villain
17:55make her character interesting,
17:57while her smarts and strength make her impossibly sexy.
18:01Catwoman has been drawn great over the years,
18:03and portrayed great too,
18:04particularly by Michelle Pfeiffer in Tim Burton's Batman Returns.
18:08This pic is just kind of a no-brainer.
18:11Meow.
18:12So, what now?
18:17Oh, I can think of a few things.
18:19Where do you think the line is between admiration and objectification?
18:23Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
18:25Almost got him.
