To draw a pencil, start by sketching a long, straight rectangle for the pencil's body. This will form the main barrel. Add a pointed triangle at one end for the pencil tip, ensuring the point aligns symmetrically with the body. At the other end, draw a smaller rectangle to represent the eraser. Connect the eraser and the pencil body with a narrow band to indicate the metal ferrule that holds them together.

Next, refine the triangle at the tip by adding a smaller triangular section inside for the lead. Lightly shade this area with gray or black to distinguish it. Use soft lines to draw the wood encasing the lead, creating a sharp transition from the pencil body to the tip.

Add details to the body, such as stripes or a brand name, for a realistic touch. For color, use yellow for the body, silver or gray for the ferrule, pink for the eraser, and dark gray or black for the lead. Finally, shade along one side of the pencil to create depth, and add a slight shadow beneath it to make it look more three-dimensional. Your pencil drawing is now complete and ready to be admired!
