00:00How come you've decided to show your face today?
00:02Well I've come with a lot of my constituents from Nottinghamshire.
00:05I'm lucky enough to represent a very rural part of the country
00:08and dozens of family farmers have come down to London today to express their
00:13deep concern at what Labour are planning. These are
00:16people who had always intended to hand their farm on to their children
00:19and their grandchildren and now suddenly worried what is the future
00:23going to hold for them.
00:24Kemi said on stage that she would immediately reverse this 20% inheritance
00:29tax. Is that something that if the
00:31Conservatives were to come in to the next general election you would
00:34fully be behind?
00:35Yeah absolutely. Both Kemi and I joined the Conservative Leadership Contest
00:38committed 100% that one of the first acts of a
00:41future Conservative government would be to repeal this cruel tax,
00:44give confidence back to family farmers so they know
00:47that they can hand on their farm to their children and their grandchildren.
