While not an outright horror film, Anna Kendrick’s “Woman of the Hour” is hitting a little too close to home with female audiences. It tells the true story of a serial killer who was on a year-long murder spree when they participated as a contestant on “The Dating Game.”

Our own Riley Utley explains that the film brings up “Constant Fears Of Safety Many Women And I Feel In A Terrifying Way.” She goes on to explain that the film is about the fear that comes with facing misogyny and sexism, powerfully exemplified by the “Dating Game” question Anna Kendrick’s Sheryl asks in the trailer: "What are girls for?"
