Coco apologizes to Greg!
Did you witness any "buffering" during the Paul/Tyson fight? Can we trust streams for events going forward?
Transcript
00:00Uh, my lead this morning is an apology to one Greg Hill.
00:04Uh, I came at you yesterday saying that your Netflix, uh, buffering during the, uh, Mike
00:10Tyson-Jake Paul fight was a, uh, your internet connection being bad and-
00:15A me problem.
00:16A me- yeah.
00:17You called it, uh, an old, an old man technology me problem.
00:22Yes.
00:23Yep.
00:24Uh, it does seem like it is a Netflix issue.
00:26Now I had had a few chardonnays, one of it, uh, going into that fight, so I thought the
00:30fight looked pretty good to me.
00:32Um, but it seems like you were not the only one that dealt with buffering and glitches
00:36during the fight.
00:37Oh.
00:38Uh, there has been a lawsuit filed in Florida by a Ronald Blue Denton that accuses Netflix
00:44of breach of contract for the constant glitching during the event.
00:49Uh, Netflix has acknowledged the poor streaming quality and, uh, they released a statement
00:55saying this unprecedented scale created many technical challenges, which the launch team
01:01tack- uh, tackled brilliantly by prioritizing stability of the stream for a majority of
01:06viewers.
01:07Now, this is going to be a big worry for most heading into the Christmas day games, uh,
01:13especially the Ravens at Texans when it comes to the Beyonce situation, because if it's
01:18unprecedented for this fight, you know, what are the numbers going to be when it comes
01:22to the football game?
