00:11had to take the simpler route cake-wise but who doesn't love a classic? I decided to try and dupe

00:15one of my favorite cakes of all time, the Mercy Montecito double chocolate cake with salted caramel

00:19but I did a ganache for the frosting and it turned out wonderful. The next morning I hopped in an

00:23Uber with my friend Gracie at 10 30 a.m. My anxiety was through the roof to balance this cake in the

00:27back seat. The rules of this cake picnic are no cake, no entry, so quite literally every single

00:32person shows up with a whole cake and there were over 600 here. It was literally like cake heaven

00:36but it was also cake chaos because we only had five minutes to grab as many slices to try as we

00:40could. I literally dropped a full slice of cake on the table during this and had frosting in my

00:44hair by the end. Some favorites were a spiced vanilla persimmon cake which was also this sweet
