00:00Rolling towards the first ball, Perth Stadium's groundskeepers are racing against time to
00:08prepare the wicket following unseasonal rain.
00:11Yesterday we pretty much lost a whole day of prep with it being under cover.
00:16So we kind of saw the forecast early on and we started prep a little bit earlier than
00:20we normally would so we're sitting quite comfortable still.
00:23Australia captain Pat Cummins and coach Andrew McDonald inspected the surface during training
00:28with hopes it will be fast and bouncy.
00:31We're setting ourselves up really nicely for it.
00:34All things are leading to getting that wicket rock hard come Friday morning.
00:37So should a side bowl first if they win the toss?
00:40Isaac McDonald leaving that one well outside off.
00:43Oh it's above my pay grade mate, way above my pay grade, definitely no comment.
00:49Australia's pace contingent hit the nets, raring to go on the stadium proper.
00:53It's always a nice one to bowl pace on, it's bouncy, a few cracks later in the game potentially
00:58so in particular Perth Stadium I really enjoy it so yeah, looking forward to Friday.
01:03Josh Hazlewood not taking India lightly despite expected mass changes to the top of the order.
01:08The amount of talent in the Indian squad is quite unbelievable.
01:11The depth is phenomenal, better than any other country in the world really.
01:14So whoever comes in has earned their stripes and no doubt will do well.
01:18India is coming off a humiliating series loss at home to New Zealand, but bowling coach
01:23Mornay Morkle is confident the players won't be weighed down by the pressure.
01:26The key message that is important for us to put out of sight, look forward to the challenge
01:33here.
01:34I think for any cricketer when you come to Australia you want to do well, this is where
01:40you make your name for yourself.
01:42Something players on both sides will be chasing.
