Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has appointed 37 local travel companies, including its subsidiary Tabung Haji Travel & Services Sdn Bhd (THTS), to serve as Hajj pilgrimage operators (PJH) for the 2025/1446 Hijrah Hajj season.

Speaking at the PJH handover ceremony on Thursday (Nov 21), Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar said the increased number of operators demonstrates TH’s commitment to providing opportunities for qualified local travel companies to manage Malaysia’s Hajj pilgrims.

He also emphasised the government’s ongoing efforts to monitor and address fraudulent Hajj and Umrah packages, urging the public to ensure that their chosen Hajj packages are from TH-licensed operators.

00:24all 25 PGH companies that operated last year
00:31have once again obtained the license for the 1446 Hijri season.
00:39And alhamdulillah, this year there are also 12 other investment companies
00:46that have succeeded in becoming new members of the PGH 1446 Hijri
00:53that will be announced shortly.

01:04Therefore, the number of companies that have passed and are eligible to operate
01:11in the Hijri season this year is 37 companies,
01:17including THS Travel and Services,
01:20Sedian Berhad.
01:22The addition of the PGH license compared to last year's 25
01:28shows the commitment of THS Travel and Services to provide opportunities to the companies
01:32that have fulfilled the requirements and criteria for managing the Hajj community in the country.
01:40I understand that Tabung Hajj does not place a certain number of Hajj community managers
01:47that are allowed to operate in each Hajj season.
01:53Based on the process of selection, evaluation, and evaluation,
01:58I am confident that the PGH companies that have been selected have strong capacity,
02:07sufficient expertise and experience,
02:10and are committed to providing the best services and maintaining the welfare of the Hajj community in Malaysia.

02:26Tabung Hajj has always made improvements with digital initiatives to facilitate PGH.
02:34I am aware that this year, Tabung Hajj has developed a Hajj Agency system
02:40to facilitate interested tourism companies to make a request to become a PGH.
02:47In addition to the request process, evaluation, and evaluation,
02:52this system is also used for the operation of Hajj in the water,
02:56sacred land, and the monitoring of services provided by PGH.
03:01I also understand that the PGH companies that have been selected today
03:06are the first group to be processed and selected using the Hajj Agency system.

03:24will bring a lot of benefits and can improve the quality and bring a lot of benefits

03:48In the last Hajj season, the Saudi Arabian government has strengthened the campaign
03:53No Permit, No Hajj, or the ban on performing Hajj without a permit.
03:58The amount of Hajj received under the law that does not have a basic permit to perform Hajj
04:05can be fined a total of 10,000 Saudi Riyal.
04:10This law applies to all individuals except the Saudi Arabian citizens themselves.
04:17For non-Saudi citizens who are arrested for violating the Hajj rules,
04:22they will be expelled from Saudi Arabia and banned from entering Saudi Arabia for a certain period of time.
04:30I expect that the Saudi Arabian government will continue to enforce this rule
04:35in the coming Hajj seasons to ensure the safety and comfort of the community.
