00:00Such a fun movie. I want to know about the chemistry on set with Monster-in-Law, with lovers, you know.
00:07How was the dynamic between, you know, all of your characters on set?
00:11Well, I personally had no fun. It was really hard to be a character.
00:15No, we had a great time.
00:16We had a great time. It was really fun. It was a fun shoot.
00:20We all spent a lot of time together on this stage that we were shooting on,
00:24so we all kind of had to find fun things to do in our down times,
00:28whether it was ordering food in from outside, having lunches together,
00:32but it was a great experience.
00:34And your public speaking on The Weed Gummies was obviously a highlight.
00:39What was sort of the inspiration behind that?
00:41Was it a Willie Nelson you were channeling, you know?
00:43I didn't even know where to go, actually.
00:47And I was like, I just need to be really calm today,
00:49because I didn't know what that feels like,
00:51so I was really nervous, and I was like asking people,
00:54do you know what's it like? What's this like? What's this like?
00:58And I know what that says if you jump in.
00:59Like, I was a little afraid to be like, oh, this is what it's like, you know?
01:02And then you're like, excuse me, Ian?
01:03And, you know, also in the house of God, you know?
01:06It was my—I loved—I got scratched.
01:08Yeah, that was a little—when I read that script, I was like, I don't know about this.
01:11Yeah, yeah, but that was like one of my favorite parts.
01:14I was like, oh, let's do it.
01:15Same, same.
01:17It was beautifully cringy to watch.
01:19Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:20And, you know, what do the holidays, you know, mean for all of you?
01:23You're a wife and a mom now.
01:24Has that changed what the holidays mean to you, or is it still sort of about the same thing?
01:28No, it's like they're—because they've always been sentimental to me,
01:32but now they're even more special and more sentimental
01:35because I get to share it with my son, and everything is new through his eyes.
01:38Everything's like the first time, so it's so beautiful.
01:42And, yeah, I get really mushy about it.
01:45And I'll just sit here and talk about him.
01:47I think fine with me.
01:49And what are his milestones? What's he up to?
01:52Running. He likes to, like, go fast now.
01:55It's sort of wild when they can sort of take off, right?
01:57That's a new stage in parenting, where they can get away from me now.
02:00And, like, he knows his food, and like, hot, hot, hot.
02:03Like, if it's rice, he's like, hot, hot, hot.
02:06Or pasta.
02:08And what about you?
02:09I mean, you have, like—I feel like you're a holiday celebrator
02:14because you do so many concerts.
02:16You are, you know, secondary queen of Christmas over here.
02:18People think that I'm, like, the decorator and the cook.
02:22I'm really good at—
02:23I saw you making Halloween cookies.
02:26I don't think she's a cook.
02:28I'm not. I'm not.
02:31That was the first time I've ever used my stove.
02:35I'm not a cook, but I do like to attend parties.
02:38Great.
02:39And attend people who, like, made the food.
02:41I do like to do my tree, though.
02:43I do like to do the tree.
02:44My tree is—my husband and I, this will be our second.
02:46It's special when you do the tree.
02:47We always get specific ornaments.
02:49Yes.
02:50And now we're making our own traditions, me and Josh, so.
02:53Yeah, which is so beautiful.
02:55And is it more fun making holiday movies?
02:57It feels like it is, because there's, like—
02:59I feel like it's better intentions going into the movie,
03:01but I've never made one.
03:03Yeah, yeah.
03:04I feel like, yeah, because the story of holiday is always light and uplifting.
03:09But I think also rom-com brings that, too.
03:11Like, it's just the essence of the—which is fun.
03:14I mean, you can go a little Christmas crazy
03:16when there's decorations everywhere all the time.
03:18Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:18You're in a winter wonderland.
03:19I'm just glad we were—most of the time, we were inside.
03:23You know?
03:23I mean, well, I should say I was.
03:26Not these two.
03:27But me.
03:28It was cold that day, too, when we filmed at the church and stuff.
03:31Yeah, freezing.
03:32I don't like to be cold.
03:33Well, I just want to know what in your lives makes you laugh.
03:35This is a comedy.
03:36What personally, you know, what gets you chuckling?
03:39Oh, man.
03:41Oh, my Instagramming at night.
03:43Watching people, like, you know, the people that, like, accidentally fall,
03:46or, you know, a dog that won't get out of the pool.
03:50Those kinds of things.
03:51It's not brain science.
03:52I think I know my son.
03:54Like, the little things he does just make me crack up.
03:56You need to be sending me some videos.
03:58Yeah, I know, I know.
03:58Because I do my Instagram and I'm lying.
03:59It's the kid thing.
04:02Like, where you're so proud.
04:04Like, my son is, you know, two and some change now.
04:07And, like, he's so verbal.
04:09And you're encouraging that.
04:11And then every once in a while he'll say something that's, like, the wrong order of words.
04:14And you're like, oh, I'm happy we're inside the house and nobody heard that.
04:17Because this is, like, deeply offensive.
04:19My son sounds very, like, a sailor, unintentionally.
04:22Or, you know, for instance, I did not know that he heard me the one time when I dropped the plate.
04:28And I might have dropped a certain word.
04:30And then he dropped his, like, you know, glass of milk the other day.
04:34And was like, brr.
04:35And I kind of went, oh, no.
04:37Yeah.
04:38They pick out the word.
04:40They, like, know the bad word somehow.
04:42You're like, you should say every word.
04:44Yeah.
04:44Smile.
