00:00Arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defence
00:04Minister Yolav Galant have been issued by the International Criminal Court.
00:09The heroic soldiers of Israel should not be condemned for how they're conducting the war
00:13in Gaza, they should be commended for it.
00:16It alleges that they carried out war crimes by knowingly depriving Gaza's civilian population
00:22of essential resources like food, water, medicine, fuel and electricity. Human rights groups
00:28have applauded the decision.
00:30Additionally, the ICC also issued a warrant for Hamas leader Mohamed Dayef for his role
00:36in the October 7 attacks last year.
00:39Despite these arrest warrants, none of the suspects are likely to face judges in The
00:43Hague any time soon. The court itself has no police to enforce the warrants and instead
00:49they rely on cooperation from member states.
00:53So for the most part, it will probably make life difficult for Netanyahu and Galant to
00:57travel abroad. But if Russia's President Putin is anything to go by, he is also wanted
01:03on similar war crimes by the ICC and he's still managed to travel to some countries
01:09like Mongolia recently and avoided arrest.
