00:00How has it been so far? Well, it's been a great week. We've been talking to people all week long
00:05doing radio and television interviews. This is a great week for country music. A lot of people in
00:12town and we get to see friends that we've not seen in a year, a lot of them, and some in several years.
00:18Wow, okay. And where are you guys based out of? We're based out of Hendersonville, Tennessee,
00:24which is a suburb of Nashville. So we got up this morning and showered in our own showers.
00:30Oh, that's so nice. And drove down here to join in the festivities. It's going to be a great night.
00:36Yes, it is. I want to hear some advice that you guys have. You guys have been in the country
00:41music for a while. What is one of like your top tips for people that are emerging artists or
00:47that are still here in country music? Well, I'd say don't give up, first of all.
00:52And sing every time you get a chance. If you sing, if you play, practice your art. Practice
00:59all the time. Every time you get a chance to sing or play, take that chance. No matter how many
01:06people are listening, you can make an audience just about anywhere. And practice your art because
01:12those are great gifts that God gives you. Absolutely. And so get them as good and honed
01:18as well as you can, because the time will come when the right person hears you that will get
01:25you to the next level. And don't take the chance of not of not performing. Perform every chance you
01:31get. Amazing. I want to hear from you. What was your favorite experience being on tour or just
01:37like in your career? Well, that is a difficult question to answer. There's been so many
01:43highlights. I would have to say being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame comes at the
01:49very top of the list. If you sing country songs for a living, being inducted into that hall is
01:56the ultimate. And if you walk into that rotunda and you look at those faces on the wall in bronze,
02:01you see the four faces of the Oak Ridge Boys. Then you look around, you see Elvis,
02:06you see Johnny Cash, you see Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers. You know, the list goes on and on and on
02:11for the Oak Ridge Boys to be a part of that family is probably the highest
02:15thing that you can achieve really.
