00:00A program of Impact Investing that will allow to make available to the Italian social economy
00:09more than 60 million euros on a time horizon of 20 years and with a model of innovative
00:14intervention.
00:15It is GDA Impact launched by the Social Venture Foundation Giordano dell'Amore and the Cariplo
00:20Foundation with the aim of supporting the supply of capital in favor of start-ups,
00:24businesses and active vehicles in the field of the Italian social economy.
00:28Committed since its inception in 2017 to develop the Impact Investing ecosystem also in our
00:33country, the Social Venture Foundation Giordano dell'Amore proposes innovative forms of
00:37support for the social economy.
00:39I quote only a couple of them, the Inca Sheri Magrimen, which is an innovative form of support
00:44for training courses, with a high level of specialization that beneficiaries can then
00:50return after having reached working positions with a minimum retribution and also the
00:56Impact Grants, which are a bridge, a hybrid vehicle between the equity and the grant, for
01:02which the initial investment in capital is transformed into a grant at a lost fund,
01:08where certain objectives and KPI were achieved.
01:12So this innovation continues and today we present this new vehicle.
01:17GDA Impact therefore enriches the range of tools already available by the Social Venture
01:22Foundation Giordano dell'Amore to support the social economy.
01:25We are trying to meet the specific needs of this particular market, which are mainly
01:33low capital costs and long-term time horizons, trying to enhance above all the dimension
01:39of the impact.
01:40With this initiative, with this new investment program, we hope to help the social economy
01:47to strengthen, to grow and also to attract new capital and new investors in this space.
01:55With the new investment tool GDA Impact, the Social Venture Foundation Giordano dell'Amore
02:00is equipped with a tool that has a source in the Mission Connected heritage resources,
02:04in this case of the Cariplo Foundation.
02:07Today, let's say, it also starts through an important grant provided by the Cariplo Foundation
02:13within its Mission Connected Investments, it is an important tool compared to which
02:21we have expectations of integration with the more comprehensive activity of the Foundation.
02:27Obviously, it is also open to the entry of other subjects, as not only us but also many
02:33other philanthropic organizations can benefit from an integrated approach with many complementary
02:40tools.
