00:00National Security Advisor Eduardo Año clarified that the US Task Force was not included in the operation of the AFP Western Command in Yungin Shoals in the West Philippine Sea.

00:14ISR, Maritime Domain Awareness, so they are helping the public to give information about that.

00:24But on actual direct participation, it is purely a Philippine operation. The West comes supported by the Philippine Coast Guard.

00:37The clarification was made following the visit of Austin to the Command and Control Fusion Center in Palawan.

00:42The task force is most grateful to the American soldiers of CASAPI.

00:46According to Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Babe Rumaldes in GMA News Online,

00:51the Department of National Defense of the Philippines has already considered the deployment of American soldiers who are standing by in some places in the West Philippine Sea.

01:00Rumaldes added that the US Task Force in Yungin was formed as part of the Visiting Forces Agreement and Mutual Defense Treaty between the Philippines and America.
