00:00Okay, thank you, Mr. Chair. As I've said,
00:04in the stories that we've seen,
00:08in the statement of VP Sara,
00:12and in the statement of COS, of OVP,
00:16we realized here, clearly, in their story,
00:20the real events. Of course,
00:24it was proven by the interpellation
00:28of Representative Swan Sing and
00:32of Congressman Cohen. So, Mr. Chair,
00:36in our last session,
00:40just to review, the committee
00:44passed my motion to hold Attorney Lopez incontent
00:48under Section 11F of the Rules of Inquiries in Aid of
00:52Legislation for undue interference in our
00:56proceedings, and resolved to detain her for a period of
01:00five days instead of ten days, or maximum of ten days,
01:04as provided for in our Section 12
01:08of the same rule. I must stress also, Mr. Chair,
01:12that the totality, as you have said a while ago,
01:16the totality of Attorney Lopez's acts and conduct
01:20warranted a detention of more than five days.
01:24Considering the totality of her acts of
01:28undue interference to the proceedings of this committee
01:32and the Congress as a whole,
01:36she not only admitted writing to the COA
01:40in order to suppress or prevent the release of
01:44documents, but worse, Mr. Chair, she continued
01:48to assert her position during our hearing,
01:52as well as in prior correspondences that she
01:56sent to his committee in refusing to attend
02:00our prior hearings.
02:04But by virtue of her conduct, the committee was deprived
02:08of invaluable information necessary to allow it
02:12to perform its role of crafting
02:16legislation for the improvement of the country's system
02:20of governance and transparency, Mr. Chair. In fact, she only
02:24attended when a threat of contempt citation would
02:28large should she fail to comply
02:32again with the subpoena du ses tecum, Mr. Chair.
02:36Mr. Chair,
02:40in view of the
02:44what happened during the last two days
02:48or so, I would like to consider
02:52to move for a reconsideration of our resolution
02:56insofar as it's limited the period of detention for
03:00only five days. I move, Mr. Chair, that the period of
03:04detention of Attorney Lopez
03:08be ten days instead of five days. So I move,
03:12Mr. Chair.
03:16I move, Mr. Chair, that the period of detention of
03:20Attorney Lopez be ten days instead of five days. So I move,
03:24Mr. Chair, that the period of detention of Attorney Lopez
03:28be ten days instead of five days. So I move, Mr. Chair, that the period of detention of Attorney Lopez
03:32be ten days instead of five days. So I move, Mr. Chair, that the period of detention of Attorney Lopez
03:36be ten days instead of five days. So I move, Mr. Chair, that the period of detention of Attorney Lopez
03:40be ten days instead of five days. So I move, Mr. Chair, that the period of detention of Attorney Lopez
03:44be ten days instead of five days. So I move, Mr. Chair that the period of detention
03:48of Attorney Lopez be ten days instead of five days.
03:52So I move, Mr. Chair, as the
