Transcript
00:00Bad Bunny just became the first Latino to ever cover Harper's Bazaar, and he's using the
00:04opportunity to give his take on gender-fluid fashion. The Puerto Rican rapper and singer
00:08graces the cover of the ICONS issue in a Louis Vuitton gown, but this isn't the first time he's
00:12broken fashion stereotypes. Bad Bunny has explored feminine and masculine gender norms from the
00:16carpet of the Met Gala to the stage of The Tonight Show. Quote, people on the outside can think that
00:20I have a strategy or I wear this to call for attention, but in reality I just know who I am.
00:24The superstar traces his fascination with women's wear to his childhood, saying that clothes marketed
00:29for the opposite gender always fit him better and had a wider variety of styles. However, societal
00:33and cultural implications made it difficult for him to challenge the gender binary through clothing,
00:37but now with the mainstream success he's received, the artist explained that it has made it easier
00:41for him to fully explore his style. Quote, to a point, the fame and where I am gives me the
00:45confidence to do all of these things, he said. I'm taking advantage of this moment in my life
00:49when I can do whatever I want and wear what I want so I get to live life more authentically.
