00:00A sports energy drink started by two YouTubers has gained mass popularity in the UK,
00:04but we need to talk about how it became a status symbol among teens and even started a black
00:09market. Lime is a new series of caffeinated and non-caffeinated flavoured sports drinks
00:13founded by YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI. While readily available in US stores,
00:17supply problems in the UK have caused limited stock and mass hysteria. As a result,
00:21students at schools around Britain have reportedly started lucrative secondary markets. The drink,
00:26which costs about $2.50 a bottle, are allegedly being resold anywhere from $12 to $100. Some
00:31teens also keep the empty bottles and charge schoolmates to take photos with them for social
00:35media. Several school districts have banned the beverage, also in an effort to keep the
00:39caffeinated version out of the hands of those under 18. Shortages have also caused what are
00:43known as prime runs, in which fans line up outside of stores and clear the shelves of
00:47prime upon opening. Some stores have even had to limit sales to three or four bottles per customer.
00:52So what do the creators think about all this?
00:54He can't keep getting away with this! Stop buying at these prices!
